So yesterday I read "Breeding time at the hucow farm" by Heather26. It was a nice read...dragged in a few parts but I liked the world building and the last chapter got rid of some lingering fears I had (short version, the characters in the first part seemed almost dehumanized to the point of regression to an earlier mental state without interest in anything outside breeding and milking but the last chapter showed a character who gets their law degree and still has a career outside of her life as a hucow).

It did get me thinking about hucow stories though. Only rule I want kept in mind is that I'd prefer to see consensual hucow stories on this thread.

An idea to get started:

1. A hucow comes home for Christmas. Set in a world similar to Heather26's, where hucow is a profession and involves some body transformation, a prodigal daughter goes home for the holidays to face the family she had a huge fight with before becoming a hucow. Family wants to be supportive and meet their new grandson/nephew but seeing her walk in with massive udders and teets makes their mouths go agape. What happens when she needs help milking, or goes into heat?

2. Family business. A woman takes over her family's hucow farm and tries to expand its global reach past eccentrics and perverts. Can she succeed when her own family seems intent on screwing the deal up? What happens when she falls for one of the cows or bulls employed there? What happens when she accidentally becomes injected with hormones to increase lactation and ends up with milk laden breasts right before the meeting that will determine the farm's future?

That’s a fair critique. The stories I mentioned at the start do try and soften it though with the exception of the final chapter/spinoff (where the lead has a fulfilling life and career in addition to her juice job) it is true that the women and men do get a bit bestial.

But I think you can always play with a concept, maybe make the hucow character feel empowered by the transformation:

For example: future pandemic: vaccines are hard to make BUT people who are naturally immune or gained immunity can make breastmilk which helps protect those who aren’t.

Now while you could do the cynical approach where the immune are rounded up and turned into hucows maybe the immune willingly undergo the procedure but they choose their hours and who they give their milk to (maybe bottling it dilutes the effect so the patient has to drink right from the teat.

You could play with it further: transwoman who was previously in a place where she was discriminated against undergoes the procedure (permanently taking care of her HRT needs) and now she can turn down or make demands of the bigots who want treatment.

For what it's worth, I wrote a single hucow story a few years back almost as a challenge to myself and part of an NC series of short stories. It centered around a farm, yes... one which invited families to spend a happy working holiday there but which had an interesting, hidden sideline.

odd to see this thread getting bumped but what the hey? I’ll see if I can spin an idea or two off it.

I know when I made the thread back in 2016 I was more thinking about the taboo angle but from a 2023 aspect, I could see some ideas.

1. Hucow as a gig. There are sites where people can sell their breast milk but a company realizes they can make bank of they can mass produce breastmilk. Sign up like you would for Uber eats or door dash and a team member will be by to give you your treatments and pump/milking machine. Just fill up the bottles and leave them out and the cash will be in your account a week later.

Of course, as a gig, it means you still probably have to still keep up a second job and a part of the treatment they don’t tell you is the increased libido. So suddenly you have lots of big breasted women (and men too since men can lactate with treatments) walking around feeling very aroused.

2. My highlights. It's strange how the hucow thing keeps resurfacing. It's like it niggles away at the back of people's minds - maybe enough to inspire the writing of a "single story"! I was thinking of doing just this recently. I'd guess it's never going to have what you might call mass-market appeal but there's certainly a kind of niche hook about it, particularly around the basic "lactation fascination".
