We have to wear masks at all times when we are outside or in public. I normally wear dangly, fish hooks. Those fly off when taking the mask off. I can't wear studs. I seem to have thick ears. The backs pop off. I have trouble fastening the type with wires that fasten. Have had only slight success with click top hoops. Took the mask off twice, then the earrings flew off. Just ordered some hinged ones from Amazon. They seem like they would work but... Again, the thick earlobes and my piercings seem to be up a bit high so those usually pinch and don't fit well.

I want to wear earrings! What else can I do?

Move to civilization.

And denounce the Orange Turd.

This is probably just something you’ll have to deal with until we are finally past the need to wear masks. It’s going to be a while. For me, at least half the time I take off my mask it pulls off my glasses, which is also no fun.

I just take my glasses off. I'm fine until I need to read something with fine print. I refuse to wear a dorky nose clip.

Yeah, is not him, it's the governor in the state that she lives in. He just happens to be a democrat violating the citizens of his state constitutional freedoms.

I'm considering going back to Kansas.

Nah, come to Texas where you don't have to wear a mask except in those places that ask you too. Want to go for a walk without a mask, go ahead, no one will bother you about not wearing one, except maybe some asshole. But no law enforcement will bother you as it's not against some illegal ordinance. Want to go into the local Walgreens, you'll need to put a mask on.

As for the earring thing... I have no idea, sorry.

Same problem with behind the ear hearing aids

I had the same problem with my behind the ear hearing aids. A friend of ours had the same problem and she fixed it by putting together a different type of face mask. Instead of going around your ears this style made with an elastic sewing band. You keep the band high on the back of your head then pull the mask under your chin. The elastic band is sewn in the tube like path through the mask. Work great nowhere near my hearing aids and the fact it is elastic makes the mask itself fits better around your face for a better seal. If your are interested I can get the making instructions from my wife to make them. That is if you are handy with sewing machine. You could search internet to see if you can buy such an animal I never have.

Have you ever tried threaded ear rings? sissy has a pair of diamonds that are threaded studs and they stay on no matter what. You might check into trying some like that.

I have been wearing a mask for work since April. It is not a job that really gives you a break so mine is on all day. I've been afraid of them getting stuck so I've just stopped wearing earrings. My mother, however, wears those dangly fish hook kind and has had no problem. She just takes her time putting the mask on & taking it off

Wear adjustable mask straps; it will save your ears. But instead of wearing it behind your head put it behind your neck and you will be able to wear your earrings again. I hope this helps.

Fishhook earring work their way out of my ear lobe even without a mask. If you have some sort of 'craft' store that sells the different items to make jewelry, you probably can find the earring backing that has a center small hole for the wire to go through but is surrounded by a circular piece of clear plastic. For use with studs it helps keep the stud from 'drooping'. If you have a problem figuring out my crappy description, maybe I can find a pic for you.

technique

I wear glasses and hearing aids and have the same problem with a mask flipping my aids off. At my last dental appointment, I asked the hygienist if she had any tips. She said they covered it in her classes. Hook your fingers on the lower part of the mask loop and pull down and back, then upward. Mask comes off without taking everything else with it.

Thanks! I'll consider Texas.

I had a pair. They were constantly falling out, then the crystal fell off. The company sent me a different kind of earrings. I can't remember what kind they were. Only that I couldn't get them in my ears.

Thanks! My daughter should have told me this. She's in the dental profession. :D

Halo mask, the ones that go round your head, mymaskie do them. Or if you wear hairbands you can sew buttons on to those to hook the mask on. Which is what I've done for years at work as it stops my ears getting sore, and I have to wear the hair band anyway.

Earrings aren't my thing, but it seems to me that if I wanted advice on this topic, I'd go to a parlor that does ear piercings. They must have had that question asked a thousand times by now, and come up with a solution or two.
