I've already seen photos of the immense magnitude of a Category One storm coming ashore as she is. Coastal areas can be devestated, and we must keep vigil for everyone's safety.

How is Sandy manifesting where you live? Please, share your stories.

We're about an hour and a half north of Manhattan, and so far she's a lot of wind and a little rain, and the projected path sends her far to our south, and then west, and then north, leaving us on the edge, but for a very long time.

We shall see.

Rain and light winds in South Central PA. so far.

Just sitting here waiting for the high winds to hit. We have some flooding, but the worst is yet to come. Oh yeah!

My sister is in Brooklyn. She said the red hook district by the shore is flooded by storm surge. No rain yet last I talked to her.

It's poured down rain all day today...I heard anywhere from 2 inches of rain, but considering 90 minutes from here they're expect 2 feet of snow...I'll take the rain.

I have a friend who is just off the Jersey shore ...

TONS of rain and LOTS of wind.

Flooded, impassable streets. Houses with water inside of them. Raining since about 2pm on Saturday. Winds are increasing. But, we still have power and have made it through the worst of the flooding.
