Why is half full a positive thing?
To me it is just depressing...a glass never reaching its full potential. Whereas the glass half empty side seems a much more upbeat proposition. It implies that the glass was, at one time, entirely full, but has been emptied out half way. This leads one down the path of hypotheses about the emptying process.
