How would you improve lit?

Hi, guys,
I'm just curious: if you had the technical prowess, how would you improve lit?

I find two things annoying:
you go to send a message to someone, thinking they're online, but you open their profile and they've just gone offline, even though you've just refreshed the page.
AND PMing a conversation can get a bit tedious.
I wonder if they could integrate something like gmail accounts with the lit accounts...

Now, mind you, I'm not tasking Laurel and Manu with these improvements and I do realize it's off the shelf technology, but maybe our ideas will eventually filter to the developers (they might even be amongst us)

IM's in PM's would be most welcome as long as I had the option to be invisible if I wanted and I could pick and choose who was allowed to IM me.

You can go into your user control panel, which will let you go invisible (to all) and you can also choose to receive PMs only from friends (i.e. people you add to your friend list).

LOL Yeah I was here when it all started. I was rather bummed that I came in at #4 I was after all looking to be #1

I know about all that. As you can see I am invisible. I was saying if they integrated IM'ing into the PM's. Frankly I'm quite surprised they haven't done that already. I know I can receive IM's in my yahoo mail, something like that would be acceptable.

You see, I started out on lit by PMing various ladies, truth be told. Now,granted, I'd filled out my profile...
However, I don't hold myself typical, and should at least have the option. I agree.
They need a separate webpage, not in the forum, for the rules. Everything, in one place. Or at least stickies in the how to forum?

Having seen and admired your pics, I agree . You can however put your pics offsite and link to them, like YourPlayDoll has.

I think that's a great idea. Also, I would suggest getting a better server for Lit because this site lags a lot.

Have your pics hosted off site, and hot link them. That works.

No, it doesn't. Lit's problem is with certain content due to the 2257 law, not where they're hosted. Even if they're hosted elsewhere, having the questionable content here puts the site and owners at risk legally.

That, and the mods can always pull the links to the pics out of posts. They can't pull avatars and the like, but the admins can.

DAMN! Burned in my own thread. Hey, I've got all the Lit details down, hence I've not need the how to's and help section much....but, ok, ok.

If only there was some way to make people read the entire thread (or at least the most recent posts) before they reply, sometimes this stuff has been done before, ya know!
