Hey, I am a new author to this site and submitted a story last week. Can anyone tell me how long it usually takes to get posted? I think I read 7-10 days? And do they really contact you by e-mail to let you know when or if your story gets posted? My gf is a little impatient & was asking & asking me about it so I decided to try to find out some answers for her. The idea of others reading Our Story really turns her on so any responses here would be appreciated. (If you know what I mean, lol.)

The norm for a while has been 3 days for established authors.
New authors typically wait an extra day or two.
When a themed contest is going on ( one is ending right now ) submissions may take longer to post.
Laurel has also recently been on vacation, which slowed things down. I've heard that the submission load has increased as well.
Illustrated submissions take longer, and audio submissions only post on certain days.
No, they don't alert you when your story posts. You just have to keep your eyes open.
