Way cool. I've only been to a Star Trek convention, never been to a Star Wars convention, but I did manage to be in Walt Disney World through some Star Wars event in 2004. You can see a couple of pics from it here.

i still have my Princess Leia costume and definitely would have attended that if i had known it was there!!!

There was a Chewie there..but Peter Mayhew was not
