Nudity and Your RV

Wife and I are considering an RV, of which we have no experience.

Given the close quarters of being in an RV, I am wondering how experienced RVers handle casual nudity when friends or family visit overnight. Are people understanding of the limited space when showering and/or getting cleaned-up and accept a little casual nudity or do they maintain the usual fear of seeing or being seen nude? Thanks for any experiences you care to share.

No, this isn't going to sound like a Penthouse Personal, but I've had this experience. We sort of had this understanding beforehand, so it was no surprise to any of the parties. It turned out to be no big thing. In fact, it turned out to be the same sort of thing you'd get at a clothing optional beach ... the novelty wears off quickly, and its just us folks. It just depends on how broad-minded your family and friends are.

Just what I was going to say. If you and friends / family are OK with it at your or their homes, you'll be OK in and around the RV. How others around your site take it is another matter. Depending on locale, you might want to make sure your window blinds are tight.

This is probably why there's some really big RVs on the road. People like their space.

I have no desire to see my friends and family naked in close quarters, but then I'd be getting the RV to escape them.

It sounds to me like the original poster simply has this fantasy that if he gets an RV he'll have an excuse to impose "accidental" nudity on unwitting and unwilling onlookers. "Oops! I dropped my towel..."

Anyone who has not experienced your penchant for flashing in the privacy of your more spacious home has no interest in seeing it in close quarters. Modesty or nudity is not a function of space.. porta johns are tiny, yet I manage to take a shit without showing everyone my business..

Most RV's that I've been in afford plenty of privacy to the bathroom area, so what you propose isn't even a question, unless you're in the company of swingers/people you wish to expose yourself to.

While any RV is a tight space, and yes, privacy can be easily compromised, NO RV built to hold more than 2 people is going to compromise anyone's privacy when it comes to the bathroom/bathing facilities.

I maintain the same "fear of seeing or being seen nude" with my friends that I maintain here. Please don't expect to see your friends naked just because they agreed to spend time in your RV..

I have this vision of some strange man at my new RV campground. I'm looking out the RV window while frying bacon, taking in the lakefront view that was so beautifully depicted in the brochure of Casual Corners Campground.. when
WHAM!
some naked guy steps out of his RV to empty the remains of a stale beer into the grass.
In my usual fear of seeing some nude, I am startled and jolt toward my tiny RV stove, spattering bacon all over my body. Luckily, because of my usual fear, I'm wearing a modest bikini, but not so modest that I don't have small burns covering my mid-section.. and the rest of my vacation is ruined.

So my advice is this.. don't do it. it's a total waste of bacon.

Nudity

As we are long time nudists, you have to respect other people who are not!
If you tell them and they agree it's okay, then have at it, just don't be crud. I feel comfortable being nude around anyone, anywhere as long as I am not offending anyone.
LOL I was busted by our renters 40 year daughter while I was painting our back porch naked and got caught. She phoned my wife laughing that there was a naked man on our back porch. I knew she had been at nude beaches before and would not mind. Have fun if you do get an RV we love ours, email me if you have more questions. Jim

How hard is it to wrap a towel around oneself.

Maybe they have an RV with a magical portal where people grow to the size of Gulliver and towels shrink to the size of postage stamps?

I'm with GiggLeGasm on this one....don't waste the bacon, whatever you do!

As previously stated by some wise person on here, unless these people are nudists themselves, keep it covered. Nobody wants to be surprised by naked friends. Nobody. Naked family would be even worse. My God, please, keep it covered!
