Hi, feeling rather foolish, but even google was no help here.

I've saved my second chapter of a series as a draft, but seem to be unable to publish. It only remains saying "SAVE DRAFT" all gray. I also don't see any option to link this text as part of the previous story in my series. The FAQ didn't have the information I needed, and I went back on this forum quite a few pages in search of answers.

Sorry to be a pain.

Press the "Preview" tab. Depending how you've loaded the story (attached a file or used the text box) that will give you an opportunity to do a final edit, change the tags, add a note to the submissions editor, turn comments and voting on or off.

When you're happy with it all, press Submit.

To link to the previous chapter, use exactly the same story title plus Ch. 02. The site will then join the chapters together (and add Ch. 01 to the previous chapter).

Oh geez, thanks. The chapter thing is so cumbersome, that leaves me with literally 7 characters to make a title!

Huh? The title field is 35 characters long - so that minus Ch.01 = 29 characters for your title (with a space). Laurel can and does make the title field longer, but you should plan within the limit.

Once you know the restriction you can title accordingly - and use the subtitle field to elaborate on the specific chapter.
