How to make a rope flogger

I posted this on the 'How to...' board and was adviced that there may be some interest in it here.

Whilst surfing the net I came across this (Build your own rope flogger)
I decided to make two.

'essa's favourite' is pleasing to the eye, in my opinion and she enjoyed it when I used it, but I don't find it very practical. It seems to shed a hell of a lot of fibre, and I haven't much confidence in how long it will last after a few washes.

The second one looks much more stable. (We haven't tried it as yet)

I found them quite therapeutic to make and was wondering if anybody has any links/instructions on how to make your own 'toys'?

I had this book called "Kinky Crafts" at least, I swear! that's what the title was... I bought it at border's a few years ago. Gave it to a fling, though... a few months ago I looked it up on Amazon for a reference to the title, but now I can't find it on there.

The rope floggers look pretty spiffy - I doubt I'd be able to make one as well as you seem to have crafted those two. But, they're fairly attractive, so I might be tempted to try.

They're fairly easy to make really, all you have to learn to do is how to whip a rope (There's a pretty good diagram here) and have plenty of patience!!
