I don't even know if there was rain damage, but if there was then God is able to deal with the problem His way. He wiped out life on earth because 99.99% had no faith in Him and were constantly committing evil, murder, rape, ect. It says that every imagination of their heart was evil continually, kind of like today. The Bible also says that as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of man. I think we can see the same types of evil today as Noah did in His day and it will only get worse until the Lord returns.
