How to get a reply from Laurel

I think that over the past year or so I've sent around seven or eight messages to Laurel on one subject or another - and I have never had the pleasure of even getting one word in return.
Often my message is related to a problem I've encountered (category page number selection was one) but I've never heard anything at all.

Now this week I've had to write again after a story I'd submitted appears to have gone missing. Laurel assures us that all editing is cleared up to 28th October whereas I sent my story in before that date.
In this instance I've answered my own problem however by simply submitting it again - hopefully that'll make someone realise there's an error; perhaps it'll be posted twice!

But it would just be nice to receive even an acknowledgement that I've tried to contact (or at least "Send Instant Feedback to Literotica" - and it would be even nicer to receive a real reply.

I do appreciate that the management are busy but since we're invited to contact them, they should also make the effort to respond.
So how do we get Laurel or Manu to reply?

Why isn't there a message box for us to communicate via?
Wouldn't it make sense - or are there too many trolls out there?

You have to send her a PM. Email doesn't wor for some reason.

Good luck.

She should answer a pm, she answered mine. And it was a pretty stupid question. So I should imagine you could just shoot her off pm and be done with it. Just make sure your question can't be answered by anyone else first.

Also when you send a PM, be clear, concise and polite and include any relevant links. That just helps all around.

Double on the use a PM.

Also, groveling and ass kissing probably goes a long way.

Even a PM doesn't always work. I just tried to get clarification on what exactly "6 months" is for how often you can win themed contests, because it comes up all the time. Depending upon the contest, the start and end date of that 6 months can determine your eligibility.

Radio silence :p

I asked that once as well. No answer so I went to....you!

OK, another off post comment by me. But to my credit it's semi on post - about the OP's comment about getting a story posted twice.

I've seen several times in an author's story list multi chapter stories that are duplicated, usually the same and sometimes with one series with an extra chapter. That seems like a lot of work to get a whole series of chapters duplicated. My guess is that there's a glitch in the system. Does anyone know for sure what the deal is?

Wouldn't 6 months from the day you won be 6 months? A month is a month, whether it be 28 or 30 or 29 or 31 days, it's still one month.

I don't understand what needs clarifying. Maybe that's why no response? It seems pretty common sense. Think you could post the PM here?

Does the six months start when you win, or on the day that contest started? Does the six months end on the announcement date, or the contest start date?

If you win Earth Day, are you eligible for Halloween? If it's from Earth Day's announcement date to Halloween's announcement date, then it's longer than six months. If it's from Earth Day's announcement date to Halloween's start date, then you're ineligible.

Nude Day to Valentine's presents the same situation, depending on when Vday starts.

49greg: One thing that will cause this is changing the title of a story within a series. For example, going back and adding "Ch. 01" to a story that originally had no chapter designation.

This happened with my LST3K series. All of the stories are listed twice on my page ( as Dark ) under two different "series" headers.

I'd say six months from the announcement of your win (ending before the date of the announcement on the next relevant contest). But you probably could use whatever measure you wanted and not get challenged.

If challenged you could say you asked and got no reply.

Nice, thank you. I would think the non issue nature might have been why no reply. You could PM her and ask her if she only replys to relevant questions maybe? :)

Since you can only win once in 6 months I would say win date. Seems kinda self apparent.

Private Messages work fine. Try that instead of an E-mail.

And for the 6 month wait before you can win again;

Suppose you win the January 2014 monthly contest, you can win again (but not before) August 2014.

Same with the Themed contest.

It goes something like: You can't win Monthly contest more than once in 6 months.

So I guess, six months is not counted from the announcement dates (Considering that the last year's announcements are made this year and so on...)

Thing is, everybody's speculating. I was trying to pin it down once and for all, since I've been asked about it at least three times that I can think of.

Laurel is the only one who knows.
