When I call up Google, for instance, and put my pointer near the box into which go my search parameters, a box drops down that contains the parameters I’ve used in the past.

If I type the “A” into the box, everything goes away but the words/prases beginning with “A”.

If I add “n”, then everything goes away but the words/phrases beginning with “An”.

My question: how do I delete a search engine drop-down list of previously used parameters?

Tools --> Internet Options --> General --> Delete Files --> Delete all offline : doesn’t do it.

Tools --> Internet Options --> General --> Clear History : doesn’t do it.

Tools --> Internet Options --> Content --> Autocomplete --> Clear Forms : doesn’t do it

Tools --> Internet Options --> Content --> Autocomplete --> Clear Passwords : doesn’t do it

How do I clear it?
Harold? Anyone?

oh dear cym, got peskie kids using your pc too? i had a similar problem when my laptop had to go back to the government who had loaned me it. wasnt looking up anything illegal, but still dont want them to know where my little perversions lie! will get my so to read this tomorrow and post a reply. the man's a technical genius. i imagine that it's to do with removing the cookies but he'll know better than me. xxxx

Just click on the drop click, next to Google and you will see Clear Search History. That should do the trick.

Good luck! :)

It is pretty easy...here are the steps:

1. Click "tools" then "internet options"
2. Click the "content" tab
3. Click "auto complete" button
4. Click "clear forms"
5. It will ask you to confirm clearing forms, click "yes"

You can also turn off the autocomplete feature...that will keep this from happening in the future...here are the steps to do that:

1. Click "tools" then "internet options"
2. Click the "content" tab
3. Click "auto complete" button
4. uncheck all the boxes and click "ok"

It is that simple :) Good Luck!!!

Yeah I seem to become puzzled at that but I found out a way by accident. Y'know the bit on any search engine bar, the bit you type your search in? Double click on that and it'll give you a drop down list of everything you've searched for. Slow but useful is to press down with the down arrow to select each one and remove any you don't want. You do this by highlighting the one you wanna get rid of and press the 'Del' key. :)

We all have stuff we don't people to see. Nothing illegal or bad, we just don't want people to see it :p

Hope that helps!
