I have started a couple threads now and im not sure how to delete them

You can't delete your own threads. Only Moderators and Administrators can remove them.
From taking a quick look at your post history, it looks like your best bet is to edit out any info you don't want in your posts and simply forget about the thread. Most threads (in Personals, AmPics, the Playground and GB especially) drop off the page and are forgotten really quickly when the threadstarter ignores them. Unless you have a critical concern, this is the best route, as opposed to bugging the forum's moderator unnecessarily.
Same goes for deleting your account, if you ever want to. You can't do that yourself, but you can edit any posts you don't want to five characters (like five periods), clear out your profile, log out, clear your browser's history and cookies, and never come back to the site. You'll be forgotten quickly, in most cases.
