How To: Avoid Irritation When Shaving

Try shaving Noxema or something like that, careful not to get into a senative area though, or after shaving, use the Noxema pads and wipe the area that you shave, the last time and got razor burn from it I used a pad on the area and the burn went away...

You might even be able to still get a free one from this site...

haha! maybe it'll work better since it was free.
I didn't like my results with it last time because of the wires on the blades.

*looks at legs*
its been about 2 months, soo lazy ... :)

Lock the bathroom door to keep out your SO. :D

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. A serious quesion deserves a serious answer. Use a sharp razor, a good shaving gel (Skintimate works for me), & afterwards rinse with cold water & follow that with baby oil after you dry. That's what works for me.

Yes, I use the baby oil in the shower (shaving is generally one of the last things I do so the skin and hair have plenty of time to warm and soften). I just bought generic baby oil, but the bottle was a pain to get into (childproof cap) and use, so I put it in an empty rinsed-out shampoo bottle with one of the push-down, pop up lids, though a pump would be convenient also I'd imagine.

Had to report back....SweetErika thank you for the idea of the baby oil (I even think I had the cheap bottle with the funky cap you were talking about....LOL) - I've tried it and yes I come out so smooth and silky down there. My only problem is the friend I'm living with does not have really hot water - ....anyhoo - yes baby oil and warm water works!

Woo hoo!!!!

Thing about baby oil is, it really gunks up my Mach 3 Turbo. Cheap @ss hair conditioner works *great* and doesn't clog my razor.

I just bought a tube of the Literotica legend, Magic cream and used it on the bikini line. Awesome stuff! (We yanks should start an export biz for our erotic penpals outside the U.S., where apparently this stuff is next to impossible to find.) Since Magic is so inexpensive I'm going to have a go on my legs and underarms, too.

Another tip I got from a guy friend is to shave once going with the hair growth and then back over against the growth. I must admit that I'm getting a much closer shave this way.

Personally I shave on a regular basis & keep my "business" smooth so it doesn't even irritate me any more.

But I do remember when I would let it go initially and it was a trick!

Awesome! Well, AppleBiter really gets the credit, as I heard it first from her. Next time you finish a shampoo or other suitable bottle, transfer the oil into it...WAY easier (lord, the first few times I used it, the excess from the crappy bottle splashed on the shower floor, and it was NOT a slip-sliding good time).

I haven't found it to "gunk up" my razors (though I rinse every few swipes), and actually I heard a little residual oil of any kind can help keep the blades in better shape. I've found some conditioners work great, but others have irritating ingredients and too-heavy fragrances. A few weeks ago, my hubby mentioned the overwhelming smell and taste of some of the products that were leftover even after a very thorough rinse, so I've cut out the heavily perfumed products.

I have a cunning way...

I dont shave!

I like it, my g/f likes it and thats all that matters to me.

Yeah, maybe the rash is God's wrath for messing with his/her creation.

I lick hair also.

If you can't get a wax, go over the area with a solid stick deoderant after you shave. I am assuming you are talking about your bikini area.
