how to ask a friend if they want u?

hey a friend of mine wants to ask another guy he's known for a while if he is interested at all, but needs to know the best way to approach the situation. he doesn't wanna lose the friend, but he does want to find out whats been under his shorts for all these years.

I personally haven't been with a guy (yet.. Looking to experiment) but I have been in similiar situations. The best advice I have is to bring up the conversation casually but with sincerity. If the guy is a true friends he won't take offense but more as a compliment.. And on the other hand he might very well be interested. He needs to decide if its really worth the risk and go for it!!

This is a tough one.

I will take you at your word: but since your friend asked you this very question, I am assuming that you are out to him, or at least he is very comfortable asking you these things.

I would not advise him to do anything other than just continue to be friends with the the other guy...if something develops, it will develop, if not, then not.

You as the other friend just need to lend a sympathetic shoulder to lean on and an open and understanding ear to listen with.

At some point as the situations develops and changes, then you may want to take a more active role is steering the course of events, but not at this stage. Especially if you yourself, don't know if the other guy is open to a relationship with another guy.

Additionally, and rereading the your OP, if they have been friends for years, why doesn't your friend just come out and tell the other friend that he is gay. That one seems simple to me. IME things tend to change rapidly if someone else is interested after a guy comes out.

My friend is curious, and he doesn't know if his friend has any interest in guys at all. Guess the best thing for him to do is have a few drinks and try to bring the conversation up casually.

Huh...I would say they are not great friends, if he doesn't even know if the guy is bi or straight! Better get that cleared up first.
