volunteering to edit

If only it were that easy. My first effort toward volunteering was 10/20/01. A follow-up message was sent to "info..." on 10/28/01. Tomorrow, very late, will make two weeks without even an acknowledgement.

In the meantime, at least two writers on the forum have bemoaned their unrequited desire for editing services. Among the complaints, was a lack of response. I wrote both, offering to help. Unfortunately, I haven't heard from either. Ah well.

Laurel has said that she had a problem with her E-mail client and she lost a bunch of mail. Perhaps your request had gotten lost during her software issues? And She DOES get a very large volume of mail from this site - give her some time to sift through it. You're not the only person sending E-mails to that address.
