Author Matt Palumbo Exposes in New Book How the Left Weaponized the Fact-Checking Industry​

The book, “Fact-Checking the Fact-Checkers: How the Left Hijacked and Weaponized the Fact-Checking Industry,” will be released in two short months.

Palumbo’s book has two goals he wishes to accomplish—expose the fact-checking industry for the “fraud that it is” as he refers to it, and secondly, archive some of the most egregious “fact-checks” of our modern age by boldly fact-checking the fact-checkers.

From distorting the truth to help elected Democrats push radical agendas to purposefully spreading lies which damage our republic’s trust in our civil institutions, Palumbo breaks down case by case many of the instances liberal fact-checkers used their roles and the reputations of their outlets in order to manipulate the truth in order to shame the opposition for disagreeing with them, and sway outcomes culturally and politically.

Situations discussed include some examples of what Palumbo calls in one section of his book, “Adventures in Mental Gymnastics.” This portion shows numerous examples of liberal journalists taking situations, such as PolitiFact’s defense of Obama’s 2012 campaign “Apology Tour” and FactCheck.org’s shielding of perennial-loser Stacy Abrams’ connections to defund the police efforts. Laid bare are the efforts to distort the facts in order to create an entirely different take on what actually happened.

Of course; that is the same fucked up logic I am so sick of hearing from Rightguide. Botany Boy (or whatever his current screen name is, since I see he just came up with a new one) used to pull this same bullshit.

FACTS are FACTS. When a fact-checker debunks a lie, that does not make them "Partisan" simply because the lie they happen to debunk was prompted by a "Conservative" or extremist political figure. It means, said person was not being truthful, and the public has a right to know that. Even if debunking their deeply held myth may make them uncomfortable. Which seems to be the issue with people who claim "Fact Checking Sites are Biased." No they are not. Truth isn't biased.

Trust me, if Biden or Obama started promoting a bunch of hateful or simply untrue bullshit, or of some unashamedly left-wing media did, then you know Snopes.com would expose them- which is exactly what they should do.

I fact-checked a thread about election fraud in Arizona. Turns out the O.P. is a gullible rube who falls for many conspiracies perpetuated by right-wing politicians.

This has been known for a while, but it is a sad state of affairs for the country that people like him still have an outlet for their fucked up (and flagrantly false) beliefs, and still continue to be duped by these extremist politicians.

I normally wouldn't give a crap; people can believe what they want to believe, but this is exactly how governments like Iran, Afghanistan and 1930s/early 1940's Germany happen. This is where it starts. Too many people- and it clearly does NOT need to be a majority of them, but enough armed psycho/sociopaths to make a difference- buy into this hateful and dystopian bullshit.

All that is confirmed here is your own lack of intellectual rigor when it comes to determining the accuracy of stated facts on your own. Instead, you find a "fact checker" to help you decide to ignore all facts stated by organization X to be untrue and without merit. This relieves you of the need to actually research and debate uncomfortable facts offered.
