I'm looking out of my window at the sleet, pissed at myself because I vowed that I would run 3 days a week come hell or high water.

So of course, I ran Tuesday.
And Saturday.

So guess what?

But I am determined to see this through, so I've rooted around my house for cold weather gear I purchased to fulfill resolutions of years past, and I WILL drag my lazy ass out there and go run, even if I catch pneumonia in the process!

If it's something that's important to me, I'll damn near kill anyone who gets in my way of accomplishing it... nothing except my horses' health stops me from riding... even if i have to take a bottle of motrin a day to kill the pain...

I wouldn't run in the sleet though. I can't think of anything worse than being cold and wet and sweaty and tired. :(

On the other hand being hot wet sweaty and tired can be absofuckinglutely wonderful.

I'm getting less stubborn as the years go by.

(Be careful running in that sleet!)

I"m as stubern as can be. If i'm trying to do something if I find out it's wrong or can't be done.... fuck that i'm gonna keep trying till I break it or do what I wanted lol.

oh yeah... isn't it amazing how changing one little word makes it oh so much more appealing?

I don't know if I'm stubborn or just a determained person.... When I first decided it was time to write my books I was told by so many people, "Yeh, yeh, get back to the real world." Now I tell them. "Eat my dust baby." I am a tommorow person, I do work my darm hardest to make my dreams come true, if I want something I go for it. But if I have done the numbers on something and the odds are not at least 80/20 in my favour, I tend to back away.

Running in place, inside looking out the window, won't work?

I can usually find an alternative...

I run and it drives me nuts that I can't do it outdoors this time of year. Forty inches of snow cramps your style. I run at a track now and believe me it takes all my stubborn determination. God deliver me from the suits that want to talk as you run. I hate being hit on when I am midburn. I have solved the problem by wearing my ugly clothes and wearing a walkman. Be careful running on the sleet it is so easy to injure yourself.

Hmm. What about just getting it overwith and forking out the cash for a gym membership? Treadmills are more fun than breaking your ankle and catching walking pneumonia in the sleet.

sounds like the thighs are hitting each other, now just anotheer mile might make it go away...

But will they let me squatt any place I need to? These things can be imortant to a real bitch.

God no, I'm not stubborn at all, unless things don't go MY way.
Then we've got some problems.

I like Ksmybutton's idea. You should try that.
Unless your already out there running in the sleet....

Brrrrrrr......

:)

Not about the money - I hate treadmills (we have one)

They are boring and over time, the thought of running in place for an hour just doesn't do it for me.

gimme the YMCA anyday! i made a vow to work out 5/7 days..so far i am keeping to it..come hell or highwater i will have my washboard abs nice pythons and a built chest...it's all about the women..

Yes

Oh yes, am I ever...

When I want something I go right after it. At least when it involves doing something for my body, ie exercise and eating well. I don't veer off the path much. I faithfully stick to my yoga and tae bo.

What a combo, eh...lol!

When it's something I truly believe in the same goes for that...I just love a good debate. Not arguing, mind you...just debating. When I am debating with someone I really like it can be great foreplay, also...hehe.

I think that is a huge turn-on. Oops, I think I got away from the point there...remembering one such spirited conversation with a former lover...mmmm...lol.

Me Stubborn? You bet! If I want something bad enough or passionate enough about something.......am I ever, stubborn.
I think the people who know me well would agree.:D

I jumprope when the weather isn't good for running. It's not really a matter of being stubborn- just finding a way to do/get something you really really want

How stubborn am I?

I refuse to answer that! Nothing you say or do can ever make me!!!
