I see these Starbucks and Dutch Bros locations with cars wrapped around the building and spilling out into the street. I can't met imagine sitting in a drive-thru line like that for anything.

At what point would you do without, if it was your only option?

Poll to follow.

I brew mine. Rarely if ever buy one at a place like those. Sometimes at a gas station or quik mart type place.

You have no coffee in the house, you don't get along with the neighbors, and the stores are closed. Your choices are: queue at Starbucks or do without.

Free cup of coffee at the mini-mart if you are there before 6 am. Which I yam!

The only way that happens is the apocalypse...

;) ;)

I buy it by the case at Sam's.

Nope - just a cheery "good morning" to Kimmie.

Free coffee all day at the legion.

Eight o' Clock coffee. Is that popular elsewhere, or just here in (almost) heaven?

First it’s been over 6 months since I’ve been to a Starbucks.

I normally just order black Pike Place so I’m never overjoyed if it takes more than 30 seconds.

There are days where I want something else. Like a regular coffee with a shot of espresso (there's also probably a fancy name for it to) Or a mocha Frappuccino, I’ll wait for that..

I’m getting pretty good at making coffee at home. I also have a neighbor who has a Nespresso system... WOW! It’s pretty neat..

FFS it's hot water and ground beans.

They sell it here.

It all tastes pretty much the same to me.
I use Maud's K-cups because I can get the extra strong stuff
and even though it costs more, I really do cut down on consumption and waste.

Yeah, not rocket surgery.

Eight o-Clock used to be a store brand for A&P as I recall. Only place I could find it back then. After the chain died, the brand showed up other places. I still see it now, but buy whatever is on sale.

Yeah, one processing center usually fills several different brand bags...

The cheaper the coffee, the later the shift.

Same beans.

I am not a morning person. So I like it quick. I press the button and we are good to go. Second cup, I get on the road.

I would probably switch to tea if I could not have my morning coffee at home. A long line would be worth it for a fancy coffee treat.

At home it’s https://truestonecoffee.com/ in the French Press. Boil, bloom steep for 4 minutes.

About 90 seconds to nuke the water and drop in a tea bag...

Is there a Starbucks literally in my house? No? Then fuck it. I'm not putting on pants for caffeine.

I voted 5 minutes because that's how long it takes to brew a small pot.

If I've failed to stock up the pantry, I deserve to suffer.

Boil I know, bloom I have no idea, steep just means forget you made it for a while, right?

That's about how I picture my motivation level if I was a coffee drinker.

I am basing that on how unlikely I am to leave the house for just about anything that I have a hankering for. If it isn't in house then I probably deliberately did not bring it home for a reason.

For a while, I wouldn't buy anything at the Costco except protein because who needs that many of any type of carb in the house? For convenience sake, I've started getting snacks for the small one at Costco. That's turns out to be a pretty huge mistake.
