I don't know. There's regular trash and then there's recyclables, compost and raw sewage. What are we counting here?

I recycle almost everything.
Newspaper/paper gets made into fire bricks.
Glass jars and bottles either get used for bottling, or if I have too many I take them to the CWA for their bottling.
Cans get flattened and taken to the recycle plant once a month. Same with plastics.
Vege scraps go into either the worm farm or the compost heap.
Meat scraps and bones go into a tray for the resident quolls and devils.
I usually end up with about 3kg of various non-recyclable waste in my 80 litre bin every fortnight.
We also do a tip run once a quarter for things like engine oil, broken car parts, waste radiator fluid, etc.
IT scrap goes to the local high school electronics department.

I have a septic that ends in a leach drain under my vege patch.
And a grey water system for the garden.

recyclables are STILL trash. although you turn it in the be turned into something else. hold it, that's all trash. landfill, compost pile, scraps for dogs and cats, etc.. anyway............
not much. living alone i produce maybe one medium sized bag a week.
where i live the nearest recycling place is over 30 miles away so i don't bother with it. but newspapers get turned into firestarters for winter.
