I was searching for real silly names of real Knights of the Realm for Sweet's Silly Knights thread, and where else would one go for that kind of information, except Debrett's Peerage.

And what did I find, apart from discovering I would have to buy the book before I could access the information I was after........an interesting quiz.

Enjoy:

How Debrett are you?

:rose:

5/10. Guess I won't be invited to dinner with the Queen. But really, as a Lady, would I really pass the port, or get the servants to?

Duke | Marquess | Earl | Viscount | Baron (including Life Baron) | Baronet | Lord Spiritual | Knight | Esquire | Gentleman

Forget knight in shining armour, I want a Lord Spiritual!

Actually, to be completely correct, as a Lady you wouldn't even be at the table while the port is doing the rounds. The 'ladies' are expected to retire to another room, while the gentlemen enjoy cigars and port. Then they join the ladies in the sitting room or wherever, for coffee. In long gone times it wasn't coffee, it was tea.

I always thought it mean to miss out on the cigars and port. I love them both.

I only got 3 :( I dunnow - I have a problem with the whole hierarchy thing. I can't stand having to call anyone Mr or Mrs, or Lord or Lady, or Ma'am or Sir when they're calling me by my first name.

Aren't we all supposed to be equal?

I even went so far once as to have a middle-aged guy call me Ms --------, just because he insisted on being addressed as Mr --------.

I usually don't call people anything at all when it's not considered acceptable to call them by their first name.

1 out of 10...I guess picking your teeth with the shrimp fork is wrong.

I scored a 2/10. There go my hopes of ever marrying William.
I guess we'll be the onlookers as the Queen goes by in her carriage since we can only be allowed in Burger King as far as royalty goes.

Plus you can eat 12 of those little burgers and they only equal one.

I'm not offended since her Maj will never enjoy the fun of a night out bowling...HA!

I bet she never ate buffalo wings either...she probably eats pizza with a knife and fork.

And you know if she was on a bowling league she'd insist on being Captain.
