Or rather, how much did you spend this last weekend in the after-Thanksgiving shopping madness?

I spent very little; $160 at Fry's for some odds and ends: a new CDR/RW drive for $30, 3 NIC cards for $30, a Yamaha computer speaker set (with sub-woofer) for $30, a couple of cans of air for $7, a book on ********** and a book on PhotoShop for $35, and an electric shaver for $25.

All for myself. I haven't done any real XMas shopping yet - my daughter is being her usual mum self about what she wants for XMas.

Do you plan on spending more this year, less or about the same as last year?

I am going to probably spend more.

Not a thing... I came home from work, went to bed, got up, showered, went back to work...

I really dislike shopping... I'd rather do it online.

I didn't spend a thing probably because it's not such a big deal in Canada ;)

I waited until Sat to let some of the mob get out of the way!
I spent 2 hours in a line that twisted through almost every part of the store - it was horrendous!

Normally I don't do that as I hate lines - but I shopped as I went along each aisle; I picked up the speakers and the shaver that way. The speakers were an impulse buy (and I am glad I got them), the shaver I was looking for going in.

I got all the major "Santa" gifts for my two kids on Friday - TV/VCR for the boy, Guitar for the girl, and a basketball goal to share. A few other odds and ends here and there though.

But the best gift was gotten on Tuesday evening - my new Jeep! yeah! Early Christmas present for me!

I didn't include the cost of the Jeep in the poll though - only what was bought on Friday!

On Friday? Nada, not a thing. Rest of the weekend? Gas for the trip home, breakfast and lunch.

This is so easy when one doesn't do Christmas. :)

That is exactly why I waited, I hate the lines more than you perhaps! Never have thought anything movie, food or entertainment was worth standing in long lines!

I don't think I spent any money on gifts on Friday. I'm sure I purchased my usual array of candy and soda foodstuffs, though. Does that count?

I love those sales!

I've been going to them for the past 4 years. I sleep over at my cousin's house, wake up at 2:45, we're out the door by 3am, get to Toys R Us by 3:30, and freeze our asses off until those doors open. Then we get to fight with crazy moms.
What fun!!
Hey, for about $100 I walk out with two large bags packed full of toys. Not too bad.

$0

And I'm glad I didn't go. I saw news footage on tv with crazy people stampeding through the Wal-Mart doors, pushing over little old lady's. People would go to help the little old lady's while people just pushed into them and nearly over them.

Walmart shoppers.

I'd probably end up knocking someone out or chatising them for their total lack of decency. Biotch's!

Too bad. Here you go.. I wouldn't have charged you 35
The $35 was for both books together (they were half price). The Photoshop book was about using PS for web design. Most of the stuff it has is good info, but I wouldn't design a website the way they show; for one thing, you want to avoid using solely graphics for navigation and information - if someone turns off images or they are visually impaired, then they can't navigate your website. If you use text on top of graphics (by using the graphic as a background for an element, then putting the text on top of that), then the graphic can be there - or not, and people can still navigate the site, plus text usually loads before graphics, so people don't have to wait for the images to load before they can navigate.

Not a single penny.

Don't do malls, don't do crowds.

I didn't spend a dime on Friday and won't be anytime soon. Christmas in my house is basically a moot point this year. The wife already got her present months ago (new car) and the kid has been so bad she is getting nothing, except maybe a bill for all the shit she has destroyed.

Damn, do I sound bitter or what?

We now return you to your regularly scheduled holiday joy.

$6. I needed winshield wiper refills so I visited my local auto parts store. Not much of a crowd there.

I only did the mall thing on Friday because of my daughter and sister. Call it family bonding. :D I bought very little because I hate waiting in line.

amazon.com will stay in business this year because of me. :D I love online shopping!

I spent about $30. I had to get a bday present for 3yr old, baby food, and drugs for said baby's cold. Twas a joy I tell ya.

Did you buy yourself a life while you were there?

I heard they were half price between five and seven A.M.

With the mail-in rebate, of course...

I had a 10 hour day at work...then I went home and slept...Xmas isn't even on my radar yet. And I resent the crappy christmas music that assault my ears at every turn.

It's no secret I don't have a life. If I really needed one that bad I'd just make one up.
