I don't honestly know, it's not the number that counts, it's the quality of the time spent together and I have honestly had some fantastic moments, evenings, nights weekends and weeks with different partners who have brightened up my life and I know I've brightened theirs.
 
Maybe 6, but the same on for the past 28+ years and feel pretty good about that.

See...now I almost didn't post here...but this always piques my genuine curiosity. How can most of you go through life with such a low "number"? Is it because you were nervous & timid when you were younger, or simply didn't know how big the whole wide world is until you were comfortably situated?
Not a critism, I am genuinely curious, and not a little confabulated! Hell I would be miserable simply living in one town, or even never leaving one country, for my entire life!

The world is a big place, full of a lot of fun people to share your brief time on it!

PW, Yes, I was nervous and, frankly, screwed up about sex right through my teens and could not step up to the opportunities which were there for me. Looking back, it was I think largely because of the extremely bitter separation of my parents which dragged on right through those years.

When at 21 I dated the woman who was to become my wife just eighteen months later, all that anxiety fell away in about a week and I've never looked back.

So, for me it's a very individual story: to meet a woman who is wonderful in all sorts of ways and with whom I have had a sexual connection which from the start has been hot and passionate and adventurous [within the constraints of one to one] - that's how it has panned out. 38 years of marriage later and still at it 4,5 times a week, and superb for both of us. I know that this is not all that typical. But for me as a man with a typically strong desire to go on the pull and spread my seed around - why would I run with that desire and blow what I've got?

There's my attempt at an explanation of my "one and only". I suspect it's unusual. But, heck, my simple answer has hijacked the thread. I do hope only temporarily!

Dude, it's not your thread lol but you're right. As long as it relates to your experiences I don't mind what's on here. He's a very lucky man to find the one so early in life.
 
Truthfully 7 (6 men, 1 woman), but I will often only say 5 because 2 of the men are regrettable.

Around 20, but it's hard to draw the line with this sort of question (that's certainly NOT just intercourse). I didn't think I would have one of the higher tallies so far. It's a bit surprising to me. I'm selective and safe, but I guess my enthusiasm makes up for that and then some.
