Seriously, I doubt if anyone can truly give an honest answer, unless they've only been having sex less than a year and have it on a rigid schedule. I'm curious as to the answers you'll get on this one.

You might check out a thread I started on the Author's Hangout entitled "So, What Are You Doing Tonight?" A British condom maker conducts a country-by-country survey every year. The averages vary from just under 100 times a year for Sweden to over 150 for Hungary.

I did a quick calculation and decided that, on average, someone my age would have had sex 4500 times. That means I'm only 4000 behind the pace.

I have had sex, full penetration till I cum in the woman's pussy with five different women. I estimate the number of times between 3,100 and 3,500 times. This has occur over the past 32 years. With my wife alone the number is around 3,000 after nearly twenty years of marriage. That's and average of about 2.8 times a week. Probally, more than many, but not nearly enough to suit me. In a little over ten years, I figure I have had sex approximately:

2,100 times.

Since I'm not having sex TONIGHT (dammit), I'm going to spend my time refiguring that number to get a more accurate one.

Some of us are into PIA, PIM, FIV, TOC...limiting it to PIV is way narrow and awfully unfair. And what's this about ejaculation? I'm inclined to agree that the definition of PIV seems a little narrow. There are far too many things of a sexual nature out there than PIV. Perhaps how many orgasms would be a fairer question but that's STILL damn near impossible for me to calculate.

21.5 years of marriage, 2 years living together before that.

PIV is about 1-2 per week (long term average) so somewhere around 2,000.

Other forms where both of us participated is easier to calculate: an average of about 1 per day, so 8,500.

Total of both, therefore, is a little more than 10,000.

Hmmm...using your definition of sex, I've had it once. And that's in 3 years and 5 partners (4 men, 1 woman).

Well, I only actually had PIV sex with 2 of them, but both had real trouble coming through actual sex which explains my low total. As for sex without ejaculation the number must be closer to about 50 (I didn't keep count so I'm not sure) and consider that both these relationships were long distance.

If I count everything I count as sex, the numbers going to be far higher though I'm not sure of a total value. Two of my relationships were with people who couldn't spend enough time going down on me. If I had to estimate a number, probably about 400-500 I think.

I would - if I could! Regrettably, I can only estimate the number of partners I've had over my lifetime, that would be more than 20, less than 40. But, as a qualifier, I lost my virginity in 1978. In the 70s and early 80s (pre-AIDS), everyone was fucking everyone else, and one night stands were very common. I agree with pinkorchid - no matter how many times, it isn't enough!. I'm going to go with approx. 3,300. I did the math at 31 1/2 years X 52 weeks X 2 per week. Obviously at first it was way more than twice a week, but as we age that has dropped some weeks. Also, factoring in things like childbirth, surgeries, time apart because of work & separate vacations, I think 2X a week is probably average. Now, if you want to talk about how many times I've come, with hubby and with out, that I can't even imagine. I regularly cum more than once per session, and I masterbate LOTS.
