My close friend and my bf cringe when they see my unread notifications and number of windows/tabs open on my browser. Where do you stand on this? Zero notifications? Close every tab? Leave ‘em till you get to them?

(I do use my phone number for gobs of rewards. The unread texts are almost always coupon texts.)

Right now on my phone:
Text Notifications: 185
Tabs open: 59

Tabs: 17
Notifications: 35

I really need to clear some stuff but meh

Your phone is going to stop being usable eventually. Resources are being used, battery is being drained. I used to do this for a living.

I have b/t 20 and 25 tabs open on my phone. I read all my texts and don't allow most notifications.

5 tabs
7 notifications

I clear mine fairly regularly. It's like the old thing my mom was always worried about....whether I was wearing clean underwear or not in case I had to go the hospital? Yea.....in case something happens, I don't want all my dirt and secrets hanging out on my phone.

I only have 3 tabs open (but I’m pleading the fifth when it comes to how many tabs and browsers I have open on my computer 😂) I try not to keep many open on my phone because it’s easier to do most internet things on my computer, or in an app.

I have 517 notifications across 6 apps. Most of those are Poshmark, where I get notifications any time someone shares something from my closet.

I don’t doubt you, but I’ve had a smart phones for 15+ years and haven’t had them not work for me. 🤷‍♀️ I’m just a regular user - text, call, email, social media, loyalty apps, games (including some big ones like HPWU and Pokémon Go). I used my iPhone 6 for many years until finally upgrading to a 12 when Apple started making the older phones obsolete.

I had to turn off notifications from Poshmark! (I’m not a seller, though).

I have 63 tabs open
And 245 unread text msgs
I do close notifications as they come bc those do bother me for some reason

Tabs 16
864 email notifications (I have been off work for 13 days so haven’t looked at emails since then)
22 WhatsApp notifications
17 KIK notifications
20 Twitter notifications

I am pretty much up to date with everything else

Is that true even when you just leave the badge type notification showing, without clearing it?

The more things you have running? Like as in actively taking up memory, power etc? The slower your phone gets and the more software glitches can develop. Especially if you also do not run regular updates to the iOS and lets face it, few people ever do. Also all the data that you are afraid to lose by running updates? There is more chance of that if you have more resrouces being taken up by the operating system.

Zero of either (I'm currently on my PC). My phone is orderly and controlled at all times. And honestly, only really used for work and the internet. I'm antisocial like that.

Of seven open apps, two are browsers. GoDuckGo (where I am now) has one open tab and Safari has one open tab. I have one Gmail notification and four YouTube notifications.

I like to keep things tidy. 🧹

I kind of suffer with technical OCD and can't stand more than one tab open on my phone unless I'm actively using another to search for something etc.
