...does it take for you to have a "problem"?

If each post represents 10 minutes of reading on the GB...and you make 30 posts a day, that's 5 Hours a day ...on the GB.

Someone who has been here for 5 years with a 30 post per day average has spent close to 10,000 hours ...or about 1 year of the past 5 years...right here on the GB.

At 25 posts a day, I see why you'd say that....you've been on the GB for a total of 480 days.

Meh, if you've descended to mocking post counts like the most unimaginative of fourteen year old trolls, you really have become irrelevant.

I'm more impressed with how you managed to clock the speed of the posts.

A few years back it allowed you to see how many posts a person could make in a day. A person here divided it by 24 hrs and thats where it resulted in a post in ever 1.5 mins...

Crazy amount of posting you do have to admit.

But if you count the amount of posts of what a troll makes and his alts.. Take seanh for example. He lives with the keyboard on his lap.

31 minutes, 6 posts...1 post for every 5 minutes, 10 seconds attendance.

Pretty harsh realization, eh Sean?

You've been spending somewhere between 15-30% of all your waking hours here for several years.

You're making some assumptions that are just there to make this thread more wowomgwtfpeoplearefuckeduptobeonthegbthatmuch.

1. many of us don't need to spend 10 minutes to make a post. Sometimes I come here, and in 2 minutes I've posted. Other times I read for a bit and then post. Who knows what the average is for me

2. Most of us, i must assume, are not on just the GB. We're on various website, or posting from a platform other than a computer. I can post on lit while waiting for my wife at the store. Or while watching tv. Or while brushing my teeth. (sean you should try that brushing thing, hahahaha!)

3. Many people post from work. Yes we steal company resources. But it's like anything else on the internet. Work on a spreadsheet, take a quick break to check email, or be a woman and go on pinterest (seriously, stop the madness!) or check a thread on lit, maybe post, or not.

4. And just because someone posted at 7:08 and then at 7:18, doesn't mean they were on lit between those posts. Maybe they were. Maybe they were for half of that time? Who knows.

Are you Cade Is Here?

Have you ever multi-tasked? I'm not always here whenever I do log in. I bounce to other tabs or windows doing other things. Sometimes I leave to do something else in the house like laundry, answer the door, etc. Answer or make a phone call. Stuff like that.

Got it.

Your points are all good and valid, especially the ones about stealing from your employers to be here and the time spent being online for other forums, etc.

For some, it might be an hour a day...others a few minutes, others several hours a day.

If you prefer, call it minutes or hours per day.

I'm asking how much is too much, how much is so too much that people, even people here, would agree it's evidence of a "problem".

I really shouldn't have to re-explain the concept...at least, not to posters who know their shit and have something to say.

Not even close. But I don't watch mind numbing TV. I've been known to post from a phone while riding shotgun on a German autobahn or a Finnish frozen road. Or while I'm waiting for a group to get together in an online game. Each to their own.

I don't think those situations are exempt from the construct known as Time, are they?

If you can walk away and stay away, you have no problems.

And since I leave for years at a time, I am not too worried about myself.
