How Many People Here Know Your Real Name?

Do you tell a lot of people personal information about yourself?

Do you give out your real name to people you don’t really know in pms?

Are you ever afraid someone is going to “recognize” you from your own home town?

Only one or two people here know my real name, and actually, I'm not afraid of people regonizing me here. The people here are some of the nicest I have encountered, and there is more than one lit member that I would love to meet.

The people I talk with on IM or in PMs know my real first name. I'm not sure how many know my last name. Two that I know of for sure. And two have had my phone number.

Nope I'm not real worried about anyone from my home town finding or recognizing me. What are they going to do if they do find me? Take my birthday?

I will say this though. I'm very careful about who I give what info to.

Not to many, but that's more cause I hate my real name, then because I am trying to be all secretive, and shit. Hell, most people who know me here, know where I live (city wise), and what my kids names are. That is, they do if they pay attention in my posts. One person (or group of people dwelling together, I should say) has my number, and I have thiers. Other then that, I can't think of to many people who have my real name.

A couple of people know my whole name. If I know you well enough to pm back and forth,I sign my first name. Otherwise I use LTR.

As far as anyone knowing me from where I live? I would love to meet them,as far as I know people who are in my section of the world are rare on Lit.

no i don't give out specific personal informations some stuff I hide back but I'm practicly an open book just start reading.

I can think of about 15 or so people on the board that know my real first name. But only 4 know both my first and last name. The same 4 that have my phone number.
I'm not worried about anyone in my RL finding me here. I don't have anything to hide for personal or professional reasons. That is why I decided to use my real pic as an av.

I don't mind anyone knowing my first name. Although I'll usually only give it out in p.m.

I used to have my first name on my profile in Yahoo. I had to take it off, because it was just too weird to have IM's popping up with my name in them. I'd have to think back, wait do I know this person? It was a little creepy.

I wouldn't ever let anyone I don't know have my last name. It's way too easy to get phone numbers and addresses that way.

Several people here know my first name on my real Lit handle. Those are folks that I saw around here enough to feel comfortable with giving them that. A few have my phone number and with that is automatically my last name as well.

Under this name, only Jeni knows that real first name and I do not interract with her at all under that one.

I forget how many people know my real first name, probably a dozen or more, and I don't really mind telling people once I get to know them. At least 2 or 3 know my full name and stuff like my phone number, etc. - I usually don't give that to people I don't know and trust, or who don't have a reason to know.

I don't mind giving out my real first name, I just don't want to publish it as there are employers out there who would discriminate against me for posting/visiting this site, and since I am very outspoken I imagine there are a few flakes/trolls who would like to out me if they could.

Everyone knows my first name. It's right there, to the left. I think only one knows my whole name, and nobody has my phone number. But one actually has my mailing addy. Unless he lost it again. LOL

I don't know how I'd feel if anybody from where I live frequented this place. Would definitely make for some interesting conversation!

There are probably 8 people here who know my real first name. Two people have my phone number. Two people know my yahoo id and i'm sure are smart enough to figure out my whole name from that.


Aside from that, I'd never use my real name here because it's used all the time by another member and my use of it too would be even more weird.

Only one person knows my first name and what I do for a living. However, I know her full name and where she lives but I will not divulge it upon pain of death. *big smile*
I would never have normally given any info out to her but . . . what can I say? I trust her.
