How many people are within 5 miles of you when you are asleep at 3 am?

Um...
During the summer or winter time?
Right now, I'd say maybe 500. That will drop when fall comes though.

Tonight at 3 am. Or in general.

Damn, never, you live further in the sticks than I do.

Thats 5 miles as the crow flies, btw.

Nearly everyone, except for the asshole drunk who ran over my mailbox last night. :(

You think that's bad?
If I were living 'up Maine' my answer would be 4.

No, the paper hadn't come yet, and I'd emptied the box the afternoon previous, so the carnage could've been worse.

Probably less than 500. A five mile radius is what, 75 square miles?

Ooh.. that first mailbox is adory-ble :)

I'd guess 200,000 people. I could be way out of my mind, but I'm going with it.

if that's the case, I think I run into Baltimore city, instead of just my town, and the number skyrockets.

A 5 mile radius is rather large when you consider it superimposed over a 'globe'.

I'm going to say approximately 1250.

I'm in a sticks area as well. <shrug>

No wonder I cant find a kinky bitch around here. ;) LOL
V~~~~

Okay, I'm an idiot.

Make that 500 during the off-season and 8,000 right now. That is all.

This is not a question I would waste time thinking about.

Oops, too late.

And you waste more time coming back to read this.

Its a vicious circle.

Do you have a cat-shaped or other cute mailbox, or just the good old utilitarian standard?

It's just a normal mailbox. I'm not a total cat psycho. I don't have a cats on my calendar or my coffee mug, and I don't collect cat paraphernalia. If I do start doing that, I've made Manu promise to spank me into sense.

over a million people live in the Las Vegas Valley. I live fairly close to the strip as well...

so lets take New Year's Eve for example...

100,000 for the hotel occupancy
and a good 10 thousand for the surroundings

its not to the point where I can knock on my neighbors glass and ask for a roll of toliet paper

but its damned close

~and thats as close to the big red X as you'll ever get~

Okay, that's large than my town.. how about we make that an even 100,000?

See, and you thought I lived in the sticks. I'm a city gal.

Hmm, this is hard to estimate. There are entirely too many pieces to factor in, I live in the city which means row-homes, I also live on an extremely busy street which is within walking distance of I-95. There is a bar on just about every corner not to mention the prison which I think is within five miles and then there is the treatment center and all the parks which are always host to a keg party by neighborhood teens.

Best guess: Too many to count.

I would guess about 500,000- 750,000. That's counting Canadians, do I get any extra credit for them?

A crapload! I often wonder during the school year when I wake up at 4 or 430AM how many of them are conscious and I try to imagine them snug in their beds....

.... or passed out on the toilet, etc...

hehe

Somewhere around 1000. Living in the sticks is wonderful after living in the city.:D
;)
