Poll to come. I think I have around 9 if you count sandles.

More than 36. I don't have an exact figure, but I have a ton. Probably enough to wear a different pair every day for a year. Most of them are flip-flops or ballet flats, though I do have heels and tennis shoes, too.

I've got around twenty. Mostly flip flops/sandals and heels. That's what I get from living in Florida so long. But I'm mostly always barefoot. And I'm the girl wearing flip flops here when it's 45 degrees out.

My real addiction is purses.

3 maybe...if you count my husband's flip flops that I wear because i hate shoes and they are so big that it is like i am not wearing shoes at all.

You actually made me go count them.
6 pairs of sneakers.
5 pairs of shoes.
There is no 11 so I skipped the poll.

about 20ish ... some for everyday, some for in private only
some flat, some with heels

My dressiest shoes I need to take to the shoe shop and get them stretched out. Either leather shrinks over time or my feet have gotten bigger. I guess it's the shoes because I'm still a eight and a half.

wow, wish i was an 8.5 .... so many more sexxi shoes in that size

Three: two identical pairs of "athletic shoes," one almost worn out, the other almost new. I wear the almost new ones when I'm going to be "in public," and the old ones the rest of the time (if I'm going to wear shoes at all). The third pair of shoes I own is a pair of black dress shoes. I think the last time I put them on was about three years ago.

I do think it's more than 9 less than 36. I haven't counted in a while and I don't count shoes I only bought for photo shoots and wore in photo shoots and would wear in one.

I have some hiking boots that make me at least two inches taller. A good thing when you are 5'6".

I think I've got six. My sandals, my running shoes, my slip on tennis shoes, and three pairs of dress shoes.

1 pair to mow the lawn in (a grubby pair of gym shoes that are falling apart anyway)
1 pair of trainers
1 pair of racing flats/fencing shoes
2 pairs of loafers
1 pair of gym shoes
2 pairs of dress shoes (one new and nicer than the other)
1 pair of flip flops
1 pair of brown leather shoes (great for business casual)
1 pair of all purpose gym shoes
1 pair of throwing shoes
1 pair of racing spikes (for track and field)
1 pair of soccer cleats

Quite a bit actually.

This is about where I am. I've got a pair of flip-flops, my bad-ass Cons for working out, dress shoes, the busted old chukkas I wear for work, a pair of hiking boots that I couldn't tell you when I wore last, and two pairs of army issue boots that I likewise couldn't tell you when I wore last. I also have a coupla pairs of sport specific shoes like wrestling shoes for martial arts and some bike shoes for those odd moments when I'm riding a spud-equipped cycle.

Generally its the chukkas, flip-flops, or the Cons. The rest very, very rarely see use.

It might be both. Leather shrinks if it is not used and/or oiled. And your feet can broaden a bit with age. It might not be enough to notice when you buy new shoes, but an old pair might be a bit narrower than you need these days. Fortunately, a shoe shop can probably address the issue. I know I've had it done.

I've had times when more than half my shoes were intended for a specific purposes. I'm almost that bad now. Fortunately, my Cons are my usual biking shoes and my lifting shoes in one go. Cons being one the best shoes you can wear for lifting anyway, and I've found that the rubber toe-ca is a good thing when I'm trail-riding. Keeps me from dinging my toes up quite as easily.

They must be 15 years old and I rarely wear them. The shoe guy sprayed them with something that helped a little but I have to leave them there overnight to get them fixed.

Christ knows. I've got 2 long storage boxes under my bed full of shoes, then I have 3 pairs that don't fit in the boxes.

Probably got about 20 pairs.

Almost all of my shoes are in a box that's about to get shipped from here back to the states, so I can't go look. I can remember 20 pairs off of the top of my head, so the number is probably much higher than that, most of which have been purchased within the past year. I needed new dress shoes for work (office and on site, which means they can't make a sound when I walk), and boots were absolutely mandatory in Germany in the winter.

The sad thing is, I still think I need more pretty shoes. Specifically these grey suade low heels that are calling to me from downtown. *sigh*

And nine times out of ten, if you see me away from work, I will be wearing flip flops.
