How many of you live off T.V. Dinners/breakfests?

I consider the cafeteria food similar to it since most of it was frozen to begin with.... so I guess I do

I do. At $0.85 to $1.25 per meal, it is a cheap, fast and easy way to eat. I cook stir fry and other meals, but TV dinners are a staple food in my house. When I work it is much easier to just use these for lunch than to fix my own lunch, and much cheaper than eating out or ordering take-out.

Where do you buy them? I like the Marie Calendars frozen meals but the cheapest I've seen them on sale is two for $5.

I hardly ever buy them. Too expensive and too much sodium.

your spelling buddy says breakfast and I heart you.

At the gorcery store. I am talking about the classic TV dinner, not the gourmet ones. You know, the ones with chicken nuggets, corn and french fries. I see them on sale all the time for $1 or less.

Yeah I like better dinners, but I can fix my own food much cheaper than I can buy it in the Marie Calendars or other gourmet ready to zap food. I can also buy freshly cooked chinese take out for about the same too.

I rarely use salt on my food (except for green beans), so that it is a little bit of compensation. Yeah I know there is a lot of added salt to most prepared meals and food, but that is not just TV dinners, but most prepared foods as well.

I think you need to go for the really cheap no-name brand stuff.

Bargain bin material ya know.

I live off of Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice frozen meals. They're not as bad on the fat and sodium as most of them are.

I have such a bachelorette's fridge/freezer. Lotsa frozen meals, some fruit, Brita water filter, a couple of yogurts, and some mustard, more or less. lol (don't ask what the mustard's for - I'm not quite sure. ;))

I have a few Marie Callenders, on sale like Ruby said 2 for 5...My favorite are the Skillet Meals, they involve a pan...so it is almost cooking:p The funny thing is, I love to cook. But I hate cooking for one.
