The term defamation has lost its meaning
Any intentional false communication, either written or spoken, that harms a person's reputation; decreases the respect, regard, or confidence in which a person is held; or induces disparaging, hostile, or disagreeable opinions or feelings against a person.

Yeah, they're all fucked. Again.
Remember the Covington kids? They got that one wrong too.![]()
I think Sandmann just settled out of court with the WaPo
Yup, just as the CNN settlement was out of court for an unspecified sum.
What I'd like to see is this; "Here's the deal _______________(fill in the blank). If you want to settle out of court with a gag order on the deal, $100 million up front in cash. Otherwise we drag your ass through court proceedings." They want to hide behind an agreement? Make them pay through the nose.

Not even close. Proving the intent is always the issue...good luck.
Nobody is fucked.
I think anyone considering following in his footsteps would have second thoughts. 23 hours for the jury to reach a verdict? It could easily have gone the other way.
The verdict doesn't justify acting as a vigilante. Self-defense was accepted but another jury might decide that it wouldn't be.
They are journalists. Their whole job is (theoretically) to accurately collect, record and relay information. They knew the facts, they just decided to ignore tham. That's intent.
It will be hard to prove what the journalists "knew." It would be batter just to ignore tham.![]()
You have a point here. If talking heads like Cooper, Reid, Mystal, Scarborough, etc. all put up their right hands and swear that they never acquainted themselves of any of the facts and simply spun fables based on nothing more than their woke faith, I do believe that it would be very easy to believe that to be true.

Why didn't you list any journalists?
Feel free to provide stories where they lied about the facts to defame him.
I doubt anyone will win a suit
They are all journalists, and CNN even calls Cooper an "anchor."

Anybody can file a lawsuit about anything at anytime. There is no merit in a defamation lawsuit against any kind of news organization no matter what the political agenda or spectrum of of that organization is.
He was charged with a crime and tried in open court. That widens the interpretation of the laws even further and gives even a wider road regarding 1st amendment rights.
And I think that is what it is.
Quite a number called KR a "white supremacist," which is untrue. There is a lot more that will be reviewed in the coming lawsuits. It won't be hard to find.
Yes, I get that you believe that.
And when it doesn't happen, you won't ever acknowledge that you were wrong.
