I was the same way around Willy when I first met him in chat. The more we chatted, the more I felt comfortable to talk to him, and the more comfortable he wanted to become. But, poor Willy had to be happy with relaxed chat and visiting a web sight with some of my work on it.

As for being scared...sounds to me like Harold has this set up to be quite safe for everyone....thank you WH for an excellent job on the preparations.

I have attended other "Lit Get-Togethers.... *ok shhhhhhh you New York attendees LMAO* and they were perfectly safe and great fun to get to know in person those I spoke with for so long.

I had simply heard of a few others attending and the real magnet for me was the fact that Laurel and Manu were going to attend and what an honor and pleasure for me to be able to meet all these fine people.

Just to add a little validation to the Lit community being composed of people who chat, post on the various boards, write/read stories ... CandyGoddess is a perfect example. She is well known by many, and at one time worked for Lit as a CM. She's also someone who is a treat to meet ... and she doesn't have two heads either!

There are quite a few people who post regularly on the boards that also like to chat (contrary to popular belief) ... some with the same nicknames, some with different names in chat ... some not as frequently as others. Which of course, was the whole purpose of Cat starting this thread ... to know "who is who in the zoo" called Literotica.


Would it bother any of the BB regs to hear?

Why is it that the stories come first? Aren't the BB'ers and the chatters and the authors mostly one and the same? Don't they all float between? Don't the chatters click on the money makin banners just as much as the authors? Maybe they do or maybe not. But I think that if there was a way to measure it that you'd find that the people that are READING the stories are also the ones CHATTING or POSTING on the BB. In that light you'd have to agree that not one single corner of the Lit society hold more importance than another. It takes all of them to make this site work. Most of us have been around since the beginning in one corner or another, just aimlessly floating until we find our niche. And I would have really been insulted as a chatter if my membership and my presence was considered LESS important than someone elses.

As far as the purpose of my original question on this thread:

It was to try to discuss and understand the exclusionary attitude of some Lit members toward others when posting on the BB. I can understand people being skeptical of meeting members that they don't know (that was never the point - although it was misconstrued as being the issue). The real issue is, why attack posters on the BB because you don't know them or because it is a post about chat? Why draw the line between "them vs us"?

Actually, I am encouraged by a lot of the nice things that were said on this thread.
