how long will it take for the editors to review a submitted story? I just put one in yesterday and just was wondering... if anyone can tell me, I'd appreciate it, thanks

I used the VE program before and just finding an editor took me about 1 week. with out ever sending a Transcript. just a reply to yes i'm avilable. You'll get maybe one or two responses the next day but the seconed week i'll say about 10 to 20 responses. try putting in your request R.S.V.P. to replys with yes or NO answers. will give you better ideas of weither they don't have time at the moment or that they haven't got to the request yet.

I think we have another ambiguity here about the word "editor."
Submitting a story to Lit:
The amount of time it takes for the story to be read and decided upon varies. Submissions which are going to be part of Literotica competitions pass through the submissions process in hours and go on the boards VERY quickly.
Ordinary submissions may take days or even as long as a fortnight occasionally.
Lately, the past few months that is, a bit more than a week is not unusual.

I assume that's the answer you need, J_girlie. Aaron's answer concerns the OTHER sort of "editor" we have here. His "VE" refers to the Volunteer Editor program.
His reply is every bit as accurate, and it paints a pretty bleak picture of replies received, sometimes, through the Volunteer Editor lists. But the Lists are very very long. I have had much better results from the ones I chose to ask for that kind of help. Luck of the draw, maybe.
