I never ever touched Napster, or Kazaa, or any of the clones. Been on usenet for years now. Have better then a thousand cd's worth of music, and likely tens of thousands of dollars in games, apps, etc....

Microsatan used to have trolls on usenet nearly a decade ago to catch kids swapping copies of MS 'wares, then suing the parents, who usually owned the ISP connection account.

But mostly, stuff like warez groups and such run like floating crap games and move to other servers regularly, much in the same way as pictures of naked women used to hide in different directories of university mainframes weekly before the Web came along and made everything so easy to find.

Perhaps your provider doesn't carry every mp3 group there is. There's tons, man.
