How long to get approved?

I have submitted a story for the first time, somewhat scary, and it hasn't been approved yet. How long does it usually take?

It usually takes 5-7 days, but I have heard that new submissions have been taking a little longer recently.

I have 2 stories up, both relatively recent, and they both took right at a week to be approved.

Waiting is the worst, isn't it?

Just hang in for a couple more days. I remember that feeling well, and, believe me, that anticipation and impatience doesn't lessen with subsequent stories you might post here.
