How long does it take...

The standard has been two days for some time, longer if you are a new author. There's only one submissions editor, so it can take up to five days under unusual circumstances.

Especially in an element of 'competition'.

Lately, it's been taking over a week according to similar posts on the subject.

Try not to fret. When it gets published or rejected, you'll know. Until then, it's out of your hands.

I submitted mine on Thursday, and got the rejection (sob!) today, so two days for me

I'm waiting for my stories to get approved and published also. It's only been a couple of days though. I didn't think it would take that long, but I guess I was wrong.

I think it also depends on what type of category it falls under, usually my incest stories get published in 2 to 3 days. Now my illustrated stories took about a full month to get uploaded.

My last two, one a new story and one an edit of an old submission, each took only two days.

Yeah, I think Illustrated and Text With Audio get saved up and released in monthly-ish batches.

The illustrated stories aside, my experience (posting at least one story a week for over a decade) is that a story submitted to the regular file that goes over five days without being posted should be queried to Laurel (via PM). Something has gone wrong. In some cases, I think, the writer has previewed the story but not hit that last submit button.

I submitted one yesterday morning and it just went up this afternoon, about 30 hours later.

Seriously??? It’s been over three days and it still not up. 😢 I’m so impatient!

New writers always take a couple of days longer - your content will be read a little more closely both for compliance and basic quality. Once you get more established, the clearance rate speeds up.

Yep, this is my twentieth submission here so Laurel knows I know the ground rules and she probably doesn't want to read yet another of mine in detail ;-)

BTW, does anybody know whether including HTML coding makes a difference to posting time? (As opposed to submitting a formatted .doc and letting Laurel convert the formatting?)

I haven't noticed any difference.

One thing I have noticed, because I have active story-submitting accounts in addition to this one, is that it's not first-in-first-posted at Literotica, even on established accounts. I don't have the same submissions services across the board. For instance a story submitted from this account yesterday is marked to post tomorrow. A story on another account that has been open and active for several years was submitted last Friday and still doesn't have a posting date.

I've been posting for more than a year and have several stories up. How long to I have to be here to be considered established? Lol

Beats me. The alt account story that I reported earlier is being held up (and this isn't the first time) while another account story breezes through in two days (same category. No content issues) has been submitting stories for six years.

Send it my story on Friday morning but went up this morning. First time I submitted. It’s hard to wait, I know.

I submitted my 16th story last night. Curious how long it will take. Most have taken 4 days.

I am also playing the waiting for approval game right now :/ Only been 2 days so far, maybe tomorrow?

I guess I got approved, it now says NEW and 12/20 so looks like I'm good :)
