how long does it take for a story to be reviewed ?

i have posted two stories in the novella section nearly two weeks ago ... it is pending every since ... neither acceptance nor rejection ... is this usual ? is there any mistake [ style / structure / format / theme ] in my submission ....

i have submitted the stories as text files, cut and pasted into the window in the submit story section and have saved it.

can anyone throw some light on this

Laurel, the webmistress, reads every story before approving it. I imagine that long stories will take a bit longer to approve than shorter ones.

You can try e-mailing her at info@literotica.com, although with the volume of mail she gets, it will take a day or two for a response.

I've had two sent in, from over two months ago. One was posted after almost two months. The other is in limbo still. I posted Laurel about it. They do get lost. I resubmitted it as an attachment.

I tried the new system (cut and paste) with a short story and it took exactly 10 days.

HOWEVER the new system lost a huge number of paragraph breaks, and jumbled it all up. It took me three tries to get the paragraphs back the way it was sent in (cut and paste). I had to use preview three times. I told Laurel about that problem.

The new system is supposed to clear their backlog up, and by the end of the month, have it cleared. I'm a little skeptical.

A hint, when you send a story in, write on your diskette what date you sent it in, and what date you got an acknowledgement. We get antsy sometimes and forget when we sent them in!
