Not each day, but in one stretch. I rarely get 3-4 hours without waking up at least once, even just to roll over. Sometimes I can go right back to sleep, but not always.

Often, it's not more than an hour or two though.

If I sleep solid like I have been for the past week, about six hours. And then I'm done. Time to get up. If I have weird patterned or poor sleep, about two hours, roll over, and back to sleep.

I rarely sleep more than an hour without waking up. I rarely sleep more than 5 hours total. 4 to 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep is usually the max. Unless I drink, then I sleep 6 to 9... I drink a lot!
:)

i usually sleep a couple of hours at a time

then i get up early cause its just easier than trying to keep sleeping

Without prescription sleep meds: 3-4 hrs max
With prescription sleep meds: 6-8 hrs avg

Same. I hate taking pills but man, my life has drastically improved after sleep meds, my mind finally quiets down so I can wake refreshed.

For the last year or so I've been waking every two hours, no matter how tired I am. Prior to that I'd only wake once or twice in the night and straight back to sleep. Glad I'm not the only one then. I always feel like I need eight hours solid kip to feel human though.

That's what melatonin and other similar things are for.

Try taking that poisonous shit out of your body.

If coma counts...45 days. (longest)

Normally 6 hours. more than that I am sleepy all day. (How weird is that.)

Hey, are you my doctor now? No? Okay then, fuck off.

Everybody knows that chronic sleep medications end up being detrimental.
One doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to realize that.

I'm just flabbergasted by the "Ode to the greatness of chronic sleep or pain medications" type of posts that I often come across on the GB.
Wtf are you guys thinking ?

There are times I'll wake up randomly at 2 or 3am and lie awake for a while. Otherwise, I get about 7 or 8, not counting pee times, because I'm generally still half asleep for those anyway.

Since I hit puberty...Less than six hours.

I try to go to sleep around 11:30PM I get up about 4:30AM If I"m lucky I catnap on the couch for part of an hour.

Not that easy some days with a cat curled up on my crotch and a Yorkie on my right side and a Boston Terrier on my left. They all decide to give me some sugars or loving on me before settling down.

What can you do? :)

lol...need more sleep!

I never had sleep problems in the traditional sense.
Just when I worked at night I sometimes did the mistake of drinking lots of instant coffee.
Then it's one those "wake up to pee, then go back to sleep, then wake up to pee" nights.

I stay away from sleep medications, but I find that a slug of Nyquil (or generic) sometimes does wonders for sleep, cold or no cold.

It happens to all old men, I wouldn't worry if I were you.
