With reports coming in of Iraqi soldiers sniping at our troops and then abandoning their weapons to mingle with civilians, it won't take long before our warriors are given the order to shake down any Iraqi they come across...

and that's not going to help in winning the hearts and minds of the people...

stop taking a negivite view on life sit back and have a tot of rum :D

Very soon

Myers, the head of the Luftwaffe, has already said they are about to take off the "kid gloves" and really start indiscriminately massacreing Iraqis with mass terror bombing-- Shrecklichkeit.

Win the hearts and minds?

Fuck that!

Shoot em, in the hearts and head!

Only good MOO-slam is a DEAD MOO-slam!

I wonder what the average IQ of the posters on this thread would be?

pp, at least be consistent. Over in your other thread you're complaining because the war is taking so long, but of course the way to shorten the war would be to carpet bomb the whole place into something akin to the last country with which we went to war.

So which do you want? A short war or a humane war?

Sorry, hon, you can't have your rum and drink it too. :p

heheheh . . . the same tactics used by the VC against the Yanks in Vietnam, that last great "Victory" . . . :)

Phrodeau, it doesn't take brains to shoot somebody, just training . . . :)

More importantly, when will the living rooms of America be ablaze with scenes of exploding "Live Action from the Front" . . . "oh look, mummy . . . there's a loyasl Iraqi soldier shooting at the cameraman over there . . . geeeee!! . . . did you see how he just blew apart when that 50 cal machinegun fire hit him . . . awesome!!!" :)

Simple solution, kill the lot of them.

As Hanns said, their hearts and minds only have one use, target practice.

Desert Storm was gong to be our Viet Nam.
Afghanistan was going to be our Viet Nam.
If this doesn't turn into Viet Nam and you guys called it wrong three times in a row, then you owe it to the rest of us to shut the fawk up about Viet Nam.

It's already happening - didn't you see the pictures of troops handing out food and water to the happy locals?

Powdered milk! Ugggh! Is that really anyway to treat 'liberated' civillians?

Of course, it could all just be a hoax and they're really actors on a beach on the southwest coast of England.

:)

Just like Afghanistan where we brutalized the local p_p_op_p_ulace by drop_p_p_p_ing p_p_allets of unp_p_alateble food on their p_p_laces...

It wasn't a complaint it was a comparison of what Bush has been feeding the public and what the reality of it all is.

Now that we're stuck with that long, long supply line going back to Kuwait, no proper control over the cities, no visible sign of any mass uprising against the Saddam regime by the people, guerrila tactics being used by Iraqis and no immediate collapse 'from within' of the Iraqi Government, this war looks as though it could drag on and on.

Bit of a different tune to what Bush, Rumsfeld and Cheney were singing a fortnight ago.

If it does then the breakdown of treating the Iraqi citizens with all due care will quickly breakdown...

Then the whole thing will become one unholy mess.

All it will need then is for the neighbouring Arab States who are being subjected to violent, daily riots against the war and the allies, to bow to the wishes of their own people and mount some sort of Iraqi rescue mission...

Then we get to nuke them?

Seriously, why give a fuck about an entire race of people who's only answer to anything is violence.

If we managed to rid the world of it's entire Arab population, the remainder would be significantly safer and better off.

I am not rascist, but there appears to be way more than a random pattern around this mob.

It's not as though we (ie, the rest of the world, the other 97%) would lose anything, anything at all, the Arab populace has contributed virtually nothing to the world, beyond violence and hatred.

Libertarians piss me off.
Accept reality, and then deal with it.

As ppman's intoxicated predictions about the war fall apart and make him out to be the Brit Buffoon, he resorts to trolling thread titles to suck in the newbies.

Well it didn't take long to happen...

Seven deaths yesterday all women and children...

One, so far, this morning...

Soon America, you'll be so shit scared to come out in the open you'll be next to useless in a 'hearts and minds' situation.

How is it that the Brits in Basra now patrol the streets without their helmets on and the Americans go everywhere in full body armour?

You don't have to be fucking Nostradamus to predict an isolated incident.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Isolated?

You're in denial aren't you?

Oh, excuse me. When I read "brutalise," I thought you meant "brutalize," which on this side of the Atlantic, implies intent.

I should have hoisted a few before attempting to interpret your hysterical nonsense.
