... and not tagged with "formerly known as Twitter?"

Is the Twitterati Universe that fucking slow?

They get their news by stagecoach?

They de-Musked en masse?

Musk can change the official name to whatever he wants. People will still call it Twitter.

Here’s one of many, many news stories announcing the rebranding in 2021. Hope this helps.

Facebook used to be the same of a company that had a flagship product with the same name. The company is now called Meta. You can visit their corporate website to learn more.

You must have missed it. The company rebranded from Facebook to Meta in 2021.

Well, you know how it goes... when you only get your current events and news from Lit's political forum you tend to be a bit late to the party.

you should take me off ignore long enough to see that I worked him over with logic and facts.

i know you enjoy dying on the dumbest hills but damn, this is ridiculous even for you.

logo = brand
website = brand

facebook.com resolves to facebook.com
x.com resolves to twitter.com

compredo, friendo?
You don’t seem to understand the difference between the company brand and the product brand. At X (formerly Twitter) they are one and the same. At Meta (formerly Facebook), they have rebranded the company.

Rather then me offering further explanation, I’m going to point you to Mark Zuckerberg’s explanation. In case you haven’t heard of him, he is the chairman and CEO of a company formerly known as Facebook.

“I think that there was just a lot of confusion and awkwardness about having the company brand be also the brand of one of the social media apps,” he said. “I think it’s helpful for people to have a relationship with a company that is different from the relationship with any specific one of the products, that can kind of supersede all of that.”
