The process started with the Yugoslavian and Iraqi wars, but now 80% of the Eastern half of Europe (the undecided lay-Ukrainians included) are finally waking up to the truth:

They believe that they are morally, intellectually and class-wise superior. We all do to some degree, but theirs is Chinese-Hun-syle.
And not only that they believe in Orientalism and Brown-iism, but they deny the status of Whiteness to any East European who isn't pink-White. And those EE who are (ie half of Serbs, Russians, Ukrainians, and Poles) are either savages, second class Europeans or not exactly Europeans.

It's exactly how they demonise 80% of lay Russians, because they bought into Putin's rhetoric.

But while those colonised by Russians ended up with more physical or in-poverty casualties, they didn't end up mentally scarred. Because Russians don't engage in fuck-fuck PC mind-games in which the colonised end up introjecting their perceived inferiority, while trying to emulate their idealised oppressors.

So LupusDei, while Russians deserve your wrath for their criminal acts against Ukraine,
you Lithuanians should twice about idealising America's and Britain's intentions in this war.

but it's easy for other Eastern European countries like Lithuania, Finland, Poland, Georgia, Moldavia, Romania and Bulgaria to cheer Americans &.

For them indeed Americans are saviors, because they are helping weaken Russia who will always pose an imperialistic threat to them.

But those countries are selfish afk.
They are willing to let Ukraine and Ukrainians turn to dust, in order to protect THEIR turf.
Had Americans negociated instead of pushing for war since before 2014, those countries would be more at risk but hundred of thousands of Ukrainians and Russians would still be alive.

Blame the Americans for the Iraq wars, NOT the British. We didn't start them. We just supported our allies.

As for Yugoslavia? The hatred is between the peoples that were Yugoslavia. We Brits (and Americans) tried to stop them from killing each other. We failed because of the stupid terms of engagement.

Your experience is NOT that of people who come to the UK from Eastern Europe. They come because they WANT to come and know that they will be accepted unlike in some other European countries, we Brits don't care about whether a person comes from, just who they are.

My dentist (and friend) is Finnish. Her deceased husband (and friend) was Finnish, then Swedish and finally became British with my support.

My oncologist is Greek. MY radiologist is Lithuanian and married to a Turkish (Christian) woman. Both of them are happier in the UK than they were in Lithuania because his relations are both Lithuanian and Russian and neither talks to each other.

The British with the Glorious Revolution of 1689 and The American revolution from 1775 t0 1773 established the two longest lasting functioning major democracies in the world. The institutions may creak a bit from time to time, but they survive. They have been successfully copied in many other nations some preferring Parliamentary democracies, others Presidential Republics. The fact that the flea pit you crawled from has even a skerrick of democracy is owed substantially to those traditions rather than your own efforts.

So perhaps those 'Anglo' nations really are superior!
