How extreme is too extreme?

Is there a limit on how awful a story can be? I know underage and animal stuff is a big no-no, that's fine. I'm thinking more non-consensual, kidnap and torture stuff. Forced body modifications, surgery and piercings, that sort of thing. Anyone ever read the old Thndrshark stories that used to appear on certain BDSM websites? Something like that is what I have in mind.

What do you mean? Do you mean is there a limit to how awful a story can be before the Site owner prevents it from being published?

The Site won't publish snuff porn, so there's a limit there, too. It allows nonconsent, but not outright rape, if I understand correctly.

So, you can kill off characters as long as they're not being murdered for the killer's sexual gratification.

You can write scenes that are nearly indistinguishable from rape, as long as the person being assaulted professes to have or be enjoying it at some point (or you described indications that they did).

As far as forced body modification -- I've read a BDSM story that included a minimal form of that (piercings, hair shaving {I mean a woman shaving off the long hair on her head, not the sort of bog standard shaved genitals that almost every story has}, that kind of thing), but the person getting modified voiced some kind of agreement to it. As far as whether you could write scenes like that in a NonCon story and have it published, my initial reaction is to tell you that the more extreme you want to get, the more you'd need to indicate that the "victim" got some sexual gratification out of it, as well as the "perpetrator".

Obviously, it's up to you to decide if these restrictions would alter the plot you're going for.

I'll say this, having written several BDSM stories, the more extreme aspects of the S/M part of things don't tend to go over well. I haven't ventured into NonCon yet, so I can't speak to that audience.
