When I try to send a private message to another person online I get this message from Literotica, "You have turned off private messages. You may not send private messages until you turn them on by editing your options."
Where is that in my options page?

How does one send a message to another who is online

How does one turn on PM?

Assuming that you are in the forums area.

On your top menu line, the left most item is User CP click it.

The left column begins with Control Panel go down to Edit Options

To the right are a series of boxes, work your way down, some may be of interest to you. When you reach Private Messaging you are at the place to make your settings.

Hi Charles ... think I got your message by mistake
But am I in the right place to ask about the profile pic issue?
Thanks much Lola

From the monthly editor thread created by Lynn (Admin),
"Be sure to turn on Private Messages.
* To switch on your Private Messages, go to User CP (top left of this page), click on Edit Options (in the left hand column), and then tick Enable Private Messaging in the second box down. Make sure that the box titled Receive Private Messages only from Buddies and Moderators is NOT ticked. Finally, click Save Changes at the bottom of that page."

On a public forum the message doesn't just go to the intended reciver but anyone else in the area/who wants to tune in.
>But am I in the right place to ask about the profile pic issue?
Shure why the hell not. What is the issue? The FAQ explains how to add them if that's your question.

No. You should ask in the How-To forum but:

You can't post a profile picture (or AV)

<--- Like my pic here

until you have made 100 posts. When you have reached 100 the facility to post an AV should appear in User CP. You might have to sign out and in again if it doesn't seem to be there at first.
