How does one answer this one?

So I bit the bullet and set up a blog a couple of months back for my writing. I get this question a little while ago:

What do you think about teenagers that enjoy reading your story?

yeah okay. How the hell do I answer that? Underage sex and porn is a hotbed. I am certainly not going to say oh yeah i love it when kids whose parents should know what the hell they are looking at are reading my incest stories.

The paranoid in me wonders if this is some kind of set up from a lit troll.

I don't want to look rude and delete it but don't want to put my foot in my mouth either. I save that for the threads here!

My first reaction was to ignore it. (I've had some responses from readers claiming to be underage; I just ignore them and report it to the site).

My second reaction was to correct it; I abhor the use of "that" in reference to people.

A simple 18+ warning and an "are you over 18?" box to check legally covers the porn sites.

I know your waiting for the world to turn into V for Vendetta but we are not there yet.

Well, to be completely honest, that was my first reaction, since it came automatically as I read the offensive construct. Lovecraft's question, however, deserved the first conscious thought, since that was the aim of his posting.

Also- the whole 'age of consent' stuff... I think it's a little warped. For instance- (not that I think the legal drinking age should be lower, mind you) you can serve your country at 18, but you can't drink?

I got laid for the first time at a very young age (wouldn't want to say how young I'd get the post deleted). The underage rule here is about legally covering their asses (and I believe their own preferneces) it has nothing to do with reality.

For the record because in case you can't tell I don't really care what people think of me, the reason I started so young was I was seduced by my older foster sister. Hence my penchant for incest stories (although obviously we were not blood) she called me little brother once while we were screwing and I was off and running after that.

And that is exactly why I would not want anyone around that age reading these stories. The stories especially those in incest and nonconsent (and swapping to a degree) only portray sex the consequences and emotions of what would really happen later.

As far as the OP, you (duh) either delete the question if you can, or you point to your opening page noting that the blog is verboten to minors (if you were smart enough to put that opening page warning into place). It's hardly something that needs to be discussed to know what to do.

But as long as you don't mind shit being flung at you it's okay. As for the GB? Well to show you what a masochist I can be I posted a completely non factual rant about something just to see how excited they would get that they could find the correct answer on line and then how they would make fun of me.

I have to say none of them are as clever as they think in their witty responses. However I have also come to realize that there are really only about 6-8 real assholes over there but because they each have about a dozen "alts" they try to give the appearance of a crowd of moron's instead of a handful.
