How do you personally make the best use of Literotica stories? What do you engage in while reading? What do you use Literotica stories for?

Personally, I just masturbate as I read. Sometimes for 2-3 hours at a time before deciding to get off. I really enjoy building up to a climax.

But I'm wondering how to use Literotica in more creative ways. Maybe I can be inspired from your personal experiences ...

I don't really read the writings of others - I post my own, browse the forums and plan on becoming a volunteer editor. Pretty much it.

By creative, do you mean you want to write? Or take inspiration for the real world?

I'm not the avid reader I used to be, but Lit falls along two camps for me; the perfect place to read smut and get off, and also a very good place to find gems. I read what captures my attention (which is actually quite selective nowadays...) and if the plot/premise appeals to me, I'll likely go back to re-read it often. I'll also re-read writing that plants itself across several levels of good (at least according to my tastes), to see how and why it's that good. I find the two are often married. :D

Although regarding the latter (apologies if my assumption is wrong), Lit can and does work the other way round. Any writing can be taken and inspired from the real world.

The forums are a kaleidoscope of different opinions and angles that are not necessarily pretty, but often quite interesting.

Using LIT? I read stuff. I write stuff. I look at pictures. I ignore most of the horseshit. I add to forums that feel right and piss on those that don't. I constantly expand my iggy list. I see no need to argue socio-politico-religious points with fundy fucktards. I encapsulate. Yow.

Are you just reading, or listening to audio stories?

I don't know how else you could get more creative than to share the story with your partner, assuming there is one. Or finding a very good story, and recording it to SoundCloud to share with them.

LIT is where I practice button pushing. I wanna know what works. I wanna push readers over the cliff. LIT is like my gym.

I rarely read stories posted to LIT. Most are crap with high scores.

I do all of these ^^^ except the writing part. Haven't got the time to sit down and write something even remotely close to erotica.

I spend waaaay too much time exactly like this!
And trading naughty PM's.
I'm trying to be more social and post more.
I might have a little problem...

Writing, editing and reading.

Much work but it has some rewards.

How do you keep "Gems"

I know that I have read stuff and then forgot to mark them for later reading. Then I tried to find it again, and I can't find it.

Share our experiences, read stories to get new ideas on sex, and chat.

I make better use of the forums than the stories myself. similar minded people are easier to have fun with, exchange thoughts, pics and some times more... let us see... still new here...

My wife and I discussed the topic this morning. 95% of LIT posters want confirmation for the crazy shit ideas and practices they luv.

For us, it's just about reading what people do, what they would want to do....learn a little, share a little and have fun!

I mow the lawn - well I did until I ran over the dog's tail.

Is this really about you boasting how much/long you masturbate?

You could put that 2-3 hours toward finding a partner, then you may have substantially more fun than your solo exploits.

You don't get out much. I estimate 10% of lovers are worth the candle.

Haha, I don't think it's that straightforward. There is more to sexuality than the act of sex or masturbation. For me, it's just as important to explore fantasy as it is to have real experiences.

I more or less agree, however, Idon't know that the percentage looking for acceptance is as high as 95%. Regardless, whatever the remainder is. . .those are looking for people to shame them for their kinks.

after I find a story I like, I look to the tags to get similar stories.

Another way is to click on the people that liked that story and more than likely they have liked other stories of the same content.

Sometimes it's difficult to find the type of stories that turn you on even though they are in the same category.
