How do you get red H's?

I have a few stories up on Lit and only one has a red H, even though I don't see much difference in that story.

Is there a FAQ on this?

Is it the person that reads the story during the acceptance review cycle?

Just wondering?

The Story has to be voted on by the readers
and if the average is higher than 4.5 it gets an H

What he said with an addendum. There has to be 10 or more votes on a story that place it at or above 4.5.

Don't get disappointed if your stories don't get Hs. As long as they're getting readers and an occasional 4 or 5, you're doing very well.

Thanks for the info!

I appreciate the info.
I'll check the FAQ.

I was wonderning, because my novel has sex in every chapter, yet the first chapter to get and H wasa one that is just a filler and has mostly a filler to to set up a later chapter and the sexyist part is a vouyer section.

I guess I should get off the forum and post the next chapter as I see that Chapt. 17 now has the 2000 views and 20 votes that seems to be the max for the previous chapters. :)

Editors

Looks like the editors prefer real long stories. I keep mine short and to the point. No nned for a 2000 word write up on the gals looks etc etc. I especially hate 2 and 3 part stories where most of the verbage sets the scene.

I prefer the Cliff notes with lots of details on the sex part

I doubt the powers-that-be editors have any observable preferences, and they certainly do not contribute to H markings. I have often wondered what appeals to the owners of the E marking as I can discern no real pattern in their awards.

The important opinions, as ever, are those of the readers; they have almost as many and varied opinions as there are readers. Your opinion, Johnsexlife, is every bit as valid as that of those who say any story under 20,000 words is not worth reading as, in their opinion, it takes at least that long to establish the characters and set the scene.

In the immortal words of my grandfather, "If every man on this earth had the same tastes, she would get very tired."

Yeah but it's a good tired. ;)

Those E's are I think awarded by individual editors not all of them together, why you see them being so different from the other E's.
