Here are two more stories I found with minors in them as sexual characters.

This is bullshit!! Who is letting this go on?

I am not squemish about sex of any type between adults, but I draw a huge line at invloving children of any sort. These two stories need to be deleted, and the editor/creator has to not do this again.

Please help me get rid of this shit.

Thanks.

Hopefully the moderators do something.

How in the world were these stories approved. It's sickening to think that people would want to write about children in that kind of way.

It gets worse....

If you go further into the story it gets into some very heavy beasty stuff.....

Actual Response!

The unthinkable has occurred, and at this point I'm waiting for the next three horsemen to arrive. I sent a complaint to the webmasters of CHYOO, and lo and behold, I got an actual response from them!

Here's my complete correspondence so far:

FROM ME -

Webmasters:

Please be aware that there are stories featuring underaged characters on this site. I reported a similar instance once before and was met with silence. If I do not see results this time, my next letter goes to the FBI. Shutting down this site, even though I enjoy it, would be a small price to pay to strike a blow at a pedophile.

Your track record at responding to user concerns is abyssmal, but I am willing to wait one week before contacting the authorities. This isn't about a broken link or other trivial concerns - this is about curbing criminal behavior and unquestionable perversion. DO SOMETHING!!!

After sending this testy message, I discovered I had neglected to provide a link to the stories in question, which I immediately sent. They responded to both my messages, but here's the first response, in full:

FROM THEM -

Hi -

Thanks for your email and I hope you are well.

I have searched our mail and I can't find a previous message from your email address.

There are several issues here:

1. Threats will get you nowhere. Fictional stories with underage characters are 100% legal under U.S. law and protected under the United States constitution. There is nothing illegal about them and the FBI, police, or anyone else, could care less if people publish them because they are legal. Mainstream books and movies are filled with fictional stories of sex with people under the age of 18, and they, like stories you read on the Internet, are protected by the United States Constitution. The United States government does not, nor will not, restrict fictional literature in any way.

2. We choose, of our own free will, to make it a rule that we do NOT allow characters in stories on our websites that are under 18 years old. This is a choice by the people who run the website and has nothing to do with the law. The law and the constitution says that underage stories are legal, we simply choose NOT to publish them. That is our personal choice and it is simply a rule on our websites, not a legal issue of any kind.

3. Chyoo is an unmoderated site where we respond to specific complaints. If you have found content that you believe violates the site rules, you need to send us specific links. Without a specific link to the content that you believe is in violation of the rules we have no way of responding to the complaints. Imagine you emailed AOL and told them "someone is using my trademark without permission on your site" - how could they be expected to know who what and where the problem is? They wouldn't. If you would like to send specific information on a story that violates the rules of the site, we'll be happy to investigate and take action if we believe it's necessary.

We appreciate your concern very much, but making threats is not the way to resolve problems. This site is operated in the United States of America and we abide by all U.S. laws.

If you would like to send more specific information about people you believe are breaking the rules of the site, please do so and we'll be happy to look into it.

Thanks again for writing, take care, and we'll talk soon.

Chyoo

My second message, which as I said immediately followed the first, went thusly:

FROM ME -

Regarding the message I just sent about pedo stories:

They can be found here - http://www.chyoo.com:81/dx/?dx=p&wid=bawbjawnsin

- Gystex

And they responded:

FROM THEM -

Hi Again -

Thanks for your follow up email with the link. :)

We will investigate this author and if he/she is indeed posting underage stories, they will be warned and any stories which have underage content will be removed from the site

Once again, thanks for taking the time to send the info and take care!

Chyoo

I have since written a letter of thanks and apologies for my own rudeness - though, in my own defense, I'd like to point out that although they may say that it does no good to threaten, doing so provoked the one and only response from the CHYOO webmasters that I've ever heard of, so apparently it does do some good.

Now let's see what they do about it!

Oh, and I know I said I'd be gone for a while, and that's still true, but when I saw this particular MB thread I felt I should take a moment to respond to it.

Dang!!

You got a response!! You are indeed the mysterious Gyxtex.

Thanks.

For the record about "how such stories can be approved"...

Just submit anything following the rule.

Then edit your thread.

Voila.

You are right, my concern should have been directed at why there is not ongoing review of the stories done by someone with the power to remove stories that have children in them.

Which is why the site needs an ongoing editor, or group of editors to make sure that editing like that does not happen.

I can't figure out why they have not taken advantage of people who have offered to fill such a role!!

Jakelyon, edit those links out of your first posting - the stories still can be accessed by it.

gystex, you´re not the first one, I did this some time ago and, believe it or not, also got a reply, even the same day ( see below) - only that the threads now, one and a half year after, are still there unchanged. Maybe the story is too popular for that (I edited its name out to avoid leading anybody to it).

happy easter,
marmot

Hi Marmot -

Thanks for your email and I hope that you had a great weekend.

That's a shame that people are already getting crazy on Chyoo - the long term goal of Chyoo is to build up some interactive stories that are quality and that don't have a bunch of kid-sex and bogus one word threads and all the other spam and junk that polluted the old interactive stories. The old ones were a nightmare to try to manage and we got complaints and threats daily from all the underage stuff going on. I will look into the stories that you have mentioned and see if I can talk to the author and see what's
going on! Chyoo is, as you probably know, a work in progress - it is by no means done. We have so many new features we want to add to it, and thing we want to change, but we had to put it up before it was totally done because of all of the problem that the other interactive stories were causing. I think it's off to a nice start, but there is a lot of room for improvement, that's a given!

Ok. I don't want to bore you. I just wanted to say thank and let you know that we will check into it.

Take care, thanks again, and we'll talk soon.

Well lets just hope that in the future, that having thier stories deleted sends a message to others that this is unacceptable....

VICTORY!!

If anyone would care to check the link that still exists in my above description of my correspondence with CHYOO, they will find that both the offending stories have been killed.

Here is the rest of my E-mailings with the webmaster, from where I left off.

First, my response to their response:

FROM ME -

Webmasters:

I appreciate your addressing my concerns.

I was not aware that underage stories are not illegal. So many sites include that restriction that I simply assumed it was. My error.

While I suppose threats are not the preferred way to get attention, I'd like to point out that from what I've read on the message board and from my own experience, the webmasters of CHYOO don't respond to anything else. Take a look at the "Site Feedback" forum sometime and read the months of accumulated frustration from dozens of people who have tried and failed to contact the webmasters. I felt this issue was important enough to take measures I ordinarily wouldn't in order to get someone to act. I apologize for being rude.

And, what they had to say in return:

FROM THEM -

Hi Again Gystex -

Thanks for your reply. Both of the stories you mention have been removed and the author has been warned. They were both definitely in violation of our rules and they are not something that we have any interest in publishing or being involved with. As I said previously, while these type of stories are legal, they are not something we want to promote or allow on our sites. We appreciate you brining it to our attention and please don't hesitate to email us if you see any problems in the future.

As far as the neglect of Chyoo, there has been ongoing work on the 2.0 version of the site. It's taken way longer than we had hoped, because we are always working on keep Literotica up and running and fast and all that. Chyoo 2.0 should be ready to go in the next month or so. Actually, we think it's ready now, but we may have to wait until the beginning or middle of May to launch it for logistical reasons. It has some new features that have been requested and a lot better admin features - something that will allow us to react quicker to comments, complaints, suggestion, etc.

I apologize for the fact that we haven't been as responsive as we could have been and hopefully that will improve in the coming months.

Thanks again for taking the time to write and take care!

I think we can all agree that this little escapade has been an unqualified success. We got the bad guys and woke up the webmasters, and we can look forward to a new and better CHYOO in a very short time.

Cheers!
