How do threads disappear?

I'm curious how a thread disappears. The Moms Next Door thread stayed around for over a year and is suddenly gone. It doesn't even show up under the threads I started under my profile. Does anyone know what might have happened?

I've seen that thread a few times in the last several days. It's active. Usually a thread disappears when there is no more interest in it and no one comments on it.

I saw it in the past week but couldn't find it yesterday. I went back 7-8 pages and couldn't find it. Then searched with no luck. I then found a way to list all threads I ever started and it didn't show in that list. Other threads I started years ago and haven't been updated in over a year still show in that list.

Yes I have also looked for this thread because I had subscribed to it and suddenly it is gone. Wham I searched for it I got a nonsense message about the phrase was too long or some other BS. I also had one post for that thread still in my email and when I clicked on the link, I got some other BS from administration about I did not have access privileges to that link. I think somehow this thread has been deleted. Maybe we should start a new “Mom’s next door” and see what happens.

I recall seeing it not long ago too. I didn’t subscribe to it tho. Maybe if someone reading this that is subscribed to it , they can copy and paste a link here for you.

If it is totally gone, it was probably due to some things posted there that went against Lit rules.

I've never seen the thread so I don't know what was posted.

I've gathered that it's usually a problem with site rules (which aren't uniformly followed by the various boards) or a copyright infringement issue.

The General Board seems to be laxer in enforcing site rules than Fetish & Sexuality Central.

I was wondering if it somehow violated some type of guidelines, but after over a year active and over 100 pages of links to pics of gorgeous mature women, I couldn't imagine an "all of the sudden" violation that would get it totally deleted. I've seen threads that get a "Part 2" or "Part 3" added because there are too many pages in the earlier parts. Does anyone know what that limit was?

I had a thread disappear because someone started posting things that were copyright or against site rules. (See the quoted post above)

Sometimes we post and there's a way for the original owner to see it's on an erotic site, they complain. Sometimes other Litsters complain about what's posted, and if there's too many for a mod to go through and delete, they just take the entire thread out.

I am going to be very direct and not PC. Literotica Moderaters apparently don’t answer question on threads.

I think it's a day before yesterday, many threads got deleted. My thread was also got deleted.

Breaching Lit rules, and if warnings are given and not followed, then a thread may be closed and deleted.

The limit for threads is 5000 posts, again the thread gets closed.

If you enjoyed the thread that much start version 2 or 3 and post again. The "which one do you prefer" also seems to have been closed.

When you start the thread it could be useful to provide a link back to Lit posting rules, hopefully the thread starts off on the right track for you.

Although that rule isn't strictly followed, either. There is at least one active thread with over 5200 posts on it.

Even if a thread is CLOSED because of the number of posts, it still can be seen.
