How do Professional Dom/mes get around the law

I would think it'd be the same way that porn actors and actresses get around the law. But I'm not sure how they do it, either. *shrugs*

Sex for Money

I'm not a lawyer, but my opinion is that the prostitution laws prohibit sex acts (defined in this case as intercourse) for money. I have never heard of a professional Domme who had intercourse with her clients, but then my experience with professional Dommes is very very limited.

As to the dungeons, there have been cases where they were "busted". The laws, and law enforcement, vary greatly from place to place.

I believe most Dommes have a strict "no sex" policy. This includes handjobs, blowjobs, and all other sexual acts. If they break that policy then they are breaking the law and susceptible to being "busted" by undercover cops if word gets out.

As for Dungeons, same thing. A "no sex" policy. As long as they adhere to that, I believe there's little the law can do to close them down except zoning that prohibits those clubs/establishments.

(Course, I'm no Domme... but I have read responses similar to this online, from Dommes, when this subject was broached.)

Guess it depends on where you operate, and under what terms. The Pro Dommes I know of and dungeons offering such services, have a strict 'no sex or you are out on your butt' policy. If operating in Oz or The Netherlands as a sex worker, prostitution is legal as long as you do it within the government guidelines. From all I have heard, the legitimate professionals in the dungeons and Pro Domming areas are not interested in offering sexual services as they are not interested in getting into prostitution or mixing the two....pro subbing/slaves differ a little, but once again, depends on where and who they are.

In Germany prostitution is legal as long as the prostitute pays social security and taxes. If she doesn't it's illegal, but as illegal as building houses, doing gardening, any other job is, when social security and taxes aren't paid. There will be law enforcement, but not against the sex.
If prostitutes pay all the legal stuff, they can even sue their clients for their money. The opposite (the prostitute being sued) is not possible though.

Wondering...

Since sex is a large part of scene(ing), how do professional Dom/mes get around the law aspects of taking money for sex.

I know that its not so simple or clear cut as many times scenes have nothing to do with sex per se...but I am just interested in how this is avoided.

Do you have to worry like some hookers might in getting caught by vice squad or something?

Also, Public dungeons, how do they get by with this?

There is no sex in a BDSM for pay scene. The scene is negotiated, fees are set.

Public dungeons that I know of are private clubs, membership, signed waviers, no drugs, alcohol etc.

San Francisco / Kansas

BDSM is often not about “sex acts” even if it can include parts traditionally used in sex acts. The line gets very hard to define. My early training was at the hands of Pro Dom/mes in the San Francisco area. I have had every part of my body pulled, poked, twisted, hit, hot waxed, pierced, etc. I have been fucked with a dildo, even had hands put all the way in my ass and rods put up my cock. I have been pissed on and have bled. I have never seen a Pro Dom/me naked, or topless, or touched a breast, an ass or a pussy/cock. I was often given permission to masturbate if I wanted, however I have never had a Pro Dom/me help me cum.

In Wichita Kansas a Pro Domme was put in jail a few years ago for giving spankings.

At the Power Exchange in San Francisco, a public play space, your BDSM scene with your partner, not a Pro, can include all forms of sex that everyone can watch as long as a condom is used to protect the on-lookers from the squirt.

Don’t even ask about Kansas. Sigh....

I don't do any form of sexual activity.

Unlike many I've even decided for multiple reasons that assplay is not on my menu of services.

I don't get around any laws. I comply with them.

*edited to add...now in my PERSONAL life, that's another matter :)*

Do professionals who act in such a manner have to worry about overzealous vice squads? Sure. Last time there was a bust of professional Dominas in my area there was one Domina who went down...

and about 12 high level public officials. Oopsie.

Never been a bust since.

I know it has been answered already but not every scene involves sex. We never include sex with our scenes.

Public dungeons have to abide by local laws. Those who allow sex may provide a specific area for this. Private dungeons are a totally different matter. We play at a private dungeon and it is always "anything goes".
